Basically when someone disconnects from a close game it turns into an auto-loss. I wish there was a system in place to punish the disconnecter and forgive the others on the team, because it's not our fault the loss occurred. Sure, maybe the person disconnecting isn't at fault--- but people shouldn't be queuing for heroleague with connection issues in the first place IMO. | ||

Wearing cool new judgement skin (I have it too I also play a fair amount of Uther) I think oh cool this guy's on the level. Good comp, thinking positive. Uther proceeds to solo lane the whole game - we're inexplicably ahead, a little, but getting pushed back. I ask politely if he could come drop off some heals maybe. Pretty sure guy was on global mute, checked talents, it was the hottest mess of garbage I've ever seen...I'm pretty sure it was someone's kid? Like either an out and out troll or a five year old givin' his best. idk. | ||

I got out by playing either heavy siege or top-tier assassins every game and punishing people who over extend. (or just exploiting that no one punishes overextenders at that rank range.) Gazlowe and Zagara just kept arriving (if at all) to the teamfights so late it didn't matter anymore, granting each curse tribute to the enemy team. It's also funny when Gazlowe then starts whining that his total hero damage is slightly higher than Zeratul's on Cursed Hollow when the enemy team has three tanks worths of CC and we have 0 tanks forcing Zeratul to be careful. Sure in a more balanced game Zeratul would have more but there is a major difference between sustained damage (from say Zagara) and burst damage (Zeratul or Kerrigan) that a lot of people seem to overlook. Sometimes I don't know which is worse, QM or HL. QM seems to have have the better players at times (stuff I've seen in HL...) but the random compositions (just had a Tyrael, Nova, Abathur, Murky, Tassadar as a team...) can ruin your day instantly, but in HL you can generally get a decent composition but then get stuck with people who just don't know how to play the chosen hero. | ||

Started on rank 28 I think then moved up to around 19 and stayed there for a long time. Then all of a sudden I dropped like bomb. Rank 33 now. 1 win and 11 losses last 12 games. Dont know what happened. Its just really weird. | ||

Finally turned it around and won one (34min game as Jaina on Battlefield of Eternity), and apparently Blizzard took such mercy on me that it gave me 200 Bonus Points for the win, which I thought I stopped getting looong ago | ||

I suspect that as the season advances, the people who stop playing are at the bottom of the rankings and so the rankings become more competitive. I used to be rank 6 and now I'm down to 13, and expect to keep going down. | ||

That makes sure that he's no longer out of position and at least sticks to the team, especially if you're the support or another backline player. I've had rank 5 players in my team where the bot performed better than the player, once the bot was assigned to follow instead of running around on the wrong side of the map clearing minion waves as Malfurion or Nova. Maybe bots should auto-follow the closest player though. | ||

I play a lot of QM these days too, just because the overall mood is so much better. Ppl make jokes, laugh about ridicoulos compositions and, you won't believe it, HAVE FUN! HL just isn't fun anymore. Not one game out of the last 50 there wasn't a flamer/toxic person and it ALWAYS makes the experience worse for all. Always starts in the draft and then,even if you win, if you are ahead 3 levels, ppl start raging at 1 little mistake. And i can't bring myself to mute all from the start. | ||

If you go with an easy mind, you have fun even with 3 warriors versus a perfectly balanced team. Hero League is where you play to win. You do what's best for the team, and ultimately it's the best for you. You don't try heroes, you don't play level 3 heroes, you don't try build orders... I had a lot of heated discussions in the lobby ("not nova please" as usual) but people get constructive as you climb in rank. You can persuade them, or at least they'll say "if we lose it's your fault". It's fine. If people talk in the lobby it's a GOOD sign, it means they care. You have to do your best to keep the team's mood as nice as possible when discussing. If not just mute them. Noone barely says anything interesting after the game starts anyway. Also, if you lose it's not the end of the world. But when you win you feel so great. :-) | ||

Nobody rages more/ harder than low MMR Rank 1 and 2 ppl I always try to be helpful, do some smiles. I always reason for or against hero choices ( Good choice Mate! Sylv is great on Haunted / Hmm... dude you sure you wanna go Lili vs a CC heavy team comp?) | ||
