Hah, I like how he blames you instead of that idiot Chen who somehow managed to die 11 times. From the scores, Nazeebo looks suspect, too.
Well what happened afterwards was even more ridiclous. Enemy team tried to take our golem with Illidan and Jaina. I went in and solokilled both of them, and then took the golem. But instead of following the golem and killing enemy core - which was at 10% HP - my ally team followed by BombaGZ who pinged heavily wanted to take their golem for no obvious reason. But I followed our golem as the only teammember, and just barely won the game with the golem.
Having seen Nova in a few games now, I don't think she's overnerfed. She's where she needs to be in terms of hero killing power. She's a ranged, stealth assassin. It's a retarded enough design as is. She doesn't need more firepower.

Such a decision making...
when your team goes full retard, you have to follow them & carry them into the disadvantaged teamfight they are obviously gonna put themselves in

Well in this case it worked out. It was just the worst possible situation. Even if we didn't have golem we could have gone 5 man in and sniped their nexus anyway.
But often times, players in HOTS do not really understand what the purpose of taking mercs are. They keep taking merc in situations where they either need to defend or whether they instead should be putting pressure. Maybe it's a LOL syndrome where you automatially get more ahead when you farm extra.
As another example. Just had a game where we had a 2v2/3v3 engagement out on the middle of the map. I ended up dying, and then I look at our allies Arthas who was in the proces of killing mercs right next to the battle (like 1/4th map distance)... He was even 3.2k mmr. Stuff like that just drives me insane... Or whenever my ally team wants to push towards the side on Haunted Mines where our Golem is not attacking, that's also really annoying.

I am talking about a situation where we could go to either side (both sides have the same distance and we have no information on where the enemy team is). Maybe we are all in base and after having been healed up. I would argue that its always benefical to have a potential teamfight on "our" golem side.
Edit: Reading on the wiki, I can't seem to find any info on which Heroes are easier to start with compared to others. As a LoL player I did well with Lee Sin, Maokai, Katarina, Vayne. Not sure if that helps. I have no DotA experience except from WC3 way back in the day.

As long as you avoid specialists, most heroes are quite easy relative to LOL.
So if all heroes are easy it comes down to working as a team? I have very low expectations for my first 20 games then in that regard. =[ but here's to hoping otherwise!

Well early on there is ofc a bit of a skillbased dynamic between heroes you need to learn, but if you have a LOL experience you will have a headstart compared to many competitors. Over time, you start to figure out how to play the map, and that's actually pretty fun.
Also, if you like indiviudal plays, I will recommend you buy Zeratul with your first 10K. Most other heroes are more reliant on the team.
