Over the course of a game, you'll be averaging about 1% bonus health regen per second, which makes a really big difference. Late game, it will be closer to 1.5%. The result is that you can hang around fights a lot longer (mana becomes more of the limiting factor) and you won't have to B or moonwell as much, meaning that you can spend more time hunting. I think it depends on the map, on Blackheart Bay collecting health globes seems a bit easier due to the 4 small merc camps (each gives 2 doubloons and one globe). Otherwise you have to costantly fight minions and that isn't the best use for Zeratul. So far, the only map where I seem to have trouble getting sufficient globes (without focusing on farming) is Haunted Mines. Garden of Terror is almost auto-pick Regen Master for anyone that can get it. Not only do you have the three lanes but you have tons of merc camps and the globes the Garden Terror drops while you're killing it count towards the number as well. Yeah, Garden is definitely one of the best maps for it. I always seem to stay above 1% regen per sec on that map.
In related news, I need to hook up electrodes to myself that shock me whenever I decide to use blink offensively. Pretty much every death that I have with Zeratul is a result of me getting too aggressive and diving with blink.

Yep, that's what I've learned as well. Fade times in this game are insane, so blink is almost always a guaranteed cloak.

That is my general purpose go-to Zeratul build. Wormhole gives you the ability to use blink offensively. Blink in, double bomb, cleave, blink back. I find Zeratul so squishy that if you try to spec too much into damage it is counter productive because you'll just get bursted down either to low HP or death and you can't contribute anyways.
|
Wormhole is tempting, but assassin's blade is really hard to give up. I feel like the extra burst is needed, otherwise my target will just run away.
|
Wormhole is absurd on Zeratul, should be an auto-take for sure.
Try Shadow Spike over 1st Aid, offers a lot more harass potential and the ability to just spike down low health forts while still invisible.
Zeratul right now is largely played like Leblanc with a massive utility ult, he's pretty good. The problem with Void Prison is you either are a Hero or a Zero as a botched VP can ruin a teamfight for your team.

I'll try it later tonight but I find myself using First Aid almost every time it is off cooldown. Also makes Zeratul an absurd dueler when he gets double bombs as well.
I find myself very reluctant to use VP in team fights. Unless two or so heroes get segmented off from the group I don't really like to use it. Some Zeratuls seem to just yolo everyone in a VP but I don't see the point.
As for Assassin's Blade AFAIK the 25% only applies to auto attacks. I don't think it applies to bombs/cleave. I rarely find my auto attacks to make up any portion of my overall damage. I used to take it but very quickly stopped and take Wormhole every time.

assassin's blade is basic damage only but that's a decent amount on zeratul I think. Wormhole's use is mostly when you want to blink in and blink out again but I find it too situational, if the fight is moving towards you, which is when you want to blink out usually, the initial spot may not even be that good to go to anyway. I think key is just to not use blink too aggressively if it's risky or be pretty sure your team covers you.
Unfortunately it isn't entirely clear to me how basic attack buffs stack exactly. Zeratul has quite a high single attack damage and talents that buff that like follow through could actually be pretty good (he is tied with raynor for highest attack sort of). Im not sure how say, focussed attack follow through and assassin's blade would stack with eachother though. If it's additively it's probably not that good but multiplicatively it could be a good option instead of the more spellbased zeratul with gathering power.

Yea Wormhole imo is a 100% must take on Zeratul, Assassin's Blade is cool (used to take it before Wormhole) but now the power that Wormhole brings cannot be ignored.
VP is all about finding the RIGHT people to VP. Most people just think they are trying to hit 4+ people when in reality often times a good VP can hit a single person.
For example was filling in for Tempest in a tournament game the other day. We had a VP and kept having it backfire. Then we realized if we just VP Rehgar and pop him right as VP drops they were screwed. It worked too and when we started doing that we turned the game and won. So all in all every game you have to determine who/what you should VP to make it work right. It's a fickle mistress.
Just play him like Leblanc in LoL for sure. Get in, drop your dmg, get out. Does not matter if you 100 to 0 and get the kill, a full combo can force almost any hero out of a fight entirely.
Garden of Terror is almost auto-pick Regen Master for anyone that can get it.
Not true at all. Some heroes like Zeratul have very little use for it. If you are low you just well or back, you should not be trying to regen back and missing out om some strong talents. In fact there is only 1 or 2 heroes I can think of that don't sacrifice something major to get it. Very few times should you get regen master, it's a talent that's terrific on paper, but takes too long to get going most times to be worth. Most level 1 talents amplify your early game, and regen master does the opposite.

You guys don't take vorpal blade on zeratul ? You can do a lot of cool tricks with it and it's great for chasing.
|
Been wanting to try out Vorpal Blade now that I am better with Zeratul (tried it before when I did not know how to play him) but have not got around to it yet. However Gathering Power is so strong I don't know how you would be able to skip it, it's a major part of his overall damage and scaling into the late game.

I think you are talking about your experience playing with a coordinated 5man team with an ideal comp. Most of what I say in this thread and my builds are under the assumption I'm solo queue with possibly no method to heal. For that reason I tend to value Regen Master fairly high. If we have a Brightwing, Uther or Malf that pops up in the queue with us I tend to alter my build and not take it. But without Regen and/or First (which is how I used to run him) I felt like I was constantly B'ing to fountain or waiting for fountain cooldowns.
|
It's fine to back a lot if you are doing the correct things. Most of what I talk about is solo/duo que also. Just that one example was full 5 man.
Also with Zeratul you should be the roamer and not laning (hes awful in lane), with that in mind you will be very behind on globes compared to where you should be.

Can confirm, HotS just popped up in my launcher, although without any email, nothing to indicate it on Battle.net, and I don't think I even had selected it in my beta settings.
Seems pretty fun so far, coming from Dota 2 I actually miss the last hitting more than items, surprisingly. The very early game just seems like a bit of a teamfight clusterfuck instead of a relatively quiet warmup period testing mechanics.
Played Tyrande up to level 6, pretty fun hero, feels pretty awesome to get a clutch Lunar Flare stun/kill, even got 1 or 2 owl kills. The heal seems kinda weak though.
Got a bit of sticker shock when I looked at the store page after feeling good about winning something like 50-60 gold after a few games...it looks like it's gonna take forever to get even one more hero beyond the free rotation...

" Technical Alpha has been great for the analysis of the data, and we feel good about where we are. We feel there are a lot of opportunities for you to earn gold and purchase your Heroes. There is player leveling, the daily quests, the 500 gold built into every hero. Since we're still in Alpha, we can definitely make adjustments, but so far, we feel that you can unlock a decent amount of stuff already. You should be able to earn enough gold to unlock ten Heroes by level 40 for Team League."
I don't even

I don't even 10 heroes? They must be talking about unlocking all the 2k and 4k heroes first.

I mostly just hate that Blizzard indirectly is forcing players to grind with different heroes. Right now I have 2 heroes I enjoy, and I think I will also enjoy Lost Vikings, but I don't want to play most of the other heroes as they are too simplistic for my taste. But in order to play ranked, I therefore need to pay money or play games I find boring. That's a really bad system imo.

You have to have 10 heroes, because in ranked, you cannot have the same hero as the other team, so at least you should have 10 to be able to play in certain cases.
I don't find the gold gain that bad, Getting to lvl 15 and playing to get there lets you buy any 10k hero. For example, i've got 25k gold, and i've got 4 heroes (although, addmitedly, i don't have any 10k hero).
Also, probably ranked mode will give more gold, and theres also the rewars from lvl 15 to 40 that they'va yet to implement. It fine.
And for example, using the argument of hinder of "why should i play heroes i find boring", well, you need to have 10 heroes to play ranked, but you can get them for free even if it takes a while, nobody is forcing you with a gun to buy them. In fact, i would make people almost the same question. If there are champions you don't like/find boring, why do you want to have them? Buying all heroes is expensive in gold/Real money, but if you don't like a hero, you don't need to buy him, so don't buy him, you don't need every hero. In fact, after you've got 10 heroes to play ranked mode, you could just save your money for master skins, or whatever.
Hey just a question, im trying to play heroes but it dissconects me at login, is it because of my conection por is something wrong with b.net because of wow?
