Mainly posting to say I met the GOD hunter though. Triple unleash, 2x buzzard, 2x timber wolf, glads longbow, animal companions, multishots, who knows what else he sure as hell didn't need it haha. I might have had a tiny chance if I drew an earlier flamestrike but boy I got steamrolled. I actually rather enjoy it when you see someone with such a complete deck, even if you end up on the worse side of things.

I feel like Druid has the best lategame in the Arena (very good late game common : Ironbark Protector ) On January 31 2014 18:08 Hairy wrote: Could anyone that's had good success with hunter in arena give some drafting advice? I've avoided hunter till now, but they always have seemed potent in arena when facing them. Just wondering if you draft towards attempting beast synergy, or if you just pick the best cards available. Just my understanding of Hunter : if you just draft the good cards, it's likely that you will lose to another drafter who also picked the good cards, because Hunter has a very weak power in the Arena. If you try to go for synergy, you will end up half the time (or more) with a shit deck. But if you manage to have this synergy (buzzard, UtH, etc...) you can go very far in the Arena I don't pick Hunter, I don't like the variance, but with luck, they can be unstoppable.

Mana addict Dalaran mage Raid leader and a Secret Keeper were my worst card and boy did they suck... Secret Keeper might as well not have existed and the final outcome of all my games probably would not have changed. I was winning a game and disconnected while plugged in to ethernet. That was my first loss. My second loss was to someone who had an azure drake on the field. I had a two 3/2s I think and no efficient and clean way to deal 4 damage to the drake so I just swung his face with my 3 minions and put another one down. I knew he didn't have swipe because last turn was turn 9 and he played azure drake with 4 mana left over, but then he topdecked it and cleared 4 of my minions. Oh well shit happens. My final loss, I was winning and then the guy dropped down Cairne. He also played a black knight on my Senjin the next turn. There was no way to deal with both efficiently. I think I should have looked into twilight drake a bit more and taken a shadowflame for AoE though the Shadowflame would not have mattered in getting me more wins in these cases. I did miss lethal a few times. Also power overwhelming often felt like overkill and I only used it as a finisher.

Initially I played paladin, but switched to Shaman recently whenever I could and have been very successful. It also helps to watch streams/read up on strategy and picks. I just played a game for my 11th win where I was about to lose, all I had in hand was Mind Control Tech and I was at something like 15hp. My opponent casts Onyxia and fills the board with 1/1s. I play Mind Control Tech and GOT THE ONYXIA. LOLOL. Proceeded to draw an Defender of Argus and won the game afterwards. I felt soooooo dirty after that, that I had to add the guy and apologize.

One guy I faced had Illidan and Rag Another guy just had Illidan And one guy had Tirion and 3x consecrate. I lost to the guy with 3x consecrate. I felt sorry for beating the guy with Rag. I just imagined him having bad luck and then finally getting a deck with Rag and Illidan and losing. The other two games I lost were probably due to skill of drafting and a degree luck. I lost to a druid where I did not play my weapon on turn 2, not because I feared ooze, but because I had no 2 mana play for the next turn, meaning I'd have to totem, but if instead I totemed this turn, I could play the 3 mana wolves next turn, and then weapon the next. The logic no longer works out because I have to play a totem anyways lol. He shattered sun'd his guy and traded for two wolves. I lost to another druid because I stupidly played flametongue at the wrong time leaving it vulnerable on the board. Live and learn. Was very tired. Here's my drafts. There were lots of questionable picks but I think I ended up with a decent deck given the choices. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtekUM_l-4IzdG9jMEM5M1RiRnZjaDVIaXNZd0l0LWc&usp=sharing I think most people would have gone for Twilight Drake and Reckless Rocketeer.

It turned out to work almost perfectly. Most games, I could beat down an unexpecting enemy from 20 to 0 HP if they would just leave my beasts alive. One game my last turn was even 3x kill command, being the only cards on my hand (topdecked the last kill command).

![]() Got the two losses from a hunter with Leeroy and a Mage with 3 Flamestrikes and really great board control from the start. Demolishers and Mad Bombers did their job. But both Dadgetzan Auctioneer and Force of Nature were insane, that card is seriously good. Most of the games were putting up taunts with demolishers behind minions and going for face until the opponent is low enough to finish things with a swipe to the face and 3 2/2s with charge as surprise burst. Naturalize was also surprisingly good, a poor Shaman got his turn 5 Earth Elemental destroyed and was too far behind from that point.

Lost to two mages and a Rogue. I find I play as if there's flamestrike in the Mage's hand always. The first one used that to his advantage and used stormwind champion to trade up with 2 of my guys. The second actually did have two flamestrikes in hand. Rogue was too fast for me.

This is the first card game like this I've played, but I regularly record Planetside 2 highlights and now Hearthstone. I usually listen to music or coordinate on teamspeak. Find me as Rahsun86 on twitch and youtube.
