A very eventful couple of days of Hearthstone.
Perfect aggro Shaman openings, check. Perfect Discard lock openings, check. Yogg creating a solid board for him and one secret... I use Flamestrike and of course, it is Coutnerspell. Check. Malygos Druid drawing Thaurissan + his full combo in the first 10 turns, but is still a bit short to kill me, so he uses Raven Idol to get the only spell (Living Roots) that wins him the game. Check. Barnes repeatedly summoning exactly none of my countless deathrattle minions. Check.
Yep, and that is a farewell, Hearthstone. Let me know when somebody finally summons N'Erf, the Old God of Balance. Meanwhile... anybody got a tip for a good game to play instead?

I dunno what else to play as far as CCGs go. As for HS - it has its momets and can be fun but for every fun game you have to suffer through 20 games of pure draw luck or cancer-deck BS. Its maddening. You just get rolled over and have to sit there and take it. Sorry, bad opening cards. You lose. Fucking game.

3 games, 12 mana tide totems. I shit you not. Holy shitballs...

I started playing Faeria this last week. It reminds me a lot of magic, but has it's own unique gameplay elements. I'm really liking it.

I want to play with my bae Valeera but Miracle is inconsistent at best against the onslaught of Shaman and Warriors and the rest seems like you're playing a worse version of decks other classes can pull off (dont give me that thief crap )

I have fun with a Reno N'Zoth Rogue in Wild.
That's basically been my trick. If I have a quest with an inferior class in Standard, I just throw something together for Wild. My only beef is that Dr. Boom is pretty much unstoppable now.

1-0, mage has 2 flamestrikes and mulched a kraken from spellslinger LMFAOAOAOAOA
same shit different day?!?!?!
next game a hunter's king's elekk just casually reveals the kezan mystic in my deck on turn 1, ya it totally had to be that 1 card out of the remaining 20 minions xDDDDDDDDDDDDD
|
Tempo mage vs zoolock. Yogg and Rag in my opening hand (my only 2 6+ drops) with 11 1-drops in my deck. When RNG counters the deck that was supposed to counter his deck.
I could also rant about shamans all day the entire class should belong to wild given how OP it is

this meta is the fucking worst. your deck either loses hard to shaman or hunter or you are playing shaman

Thanks! I will give that a try. It looks like fun, and not in a Ben Brode way.

Fully agree and the best is that it's not a specific deck they use. Whether it's secret hunter/face hunter or evolve/aggro/totem shaman, they're all imba as fuck. Totems and hunter deathrattles are too sticky to deal with. Once you leave one minion on the board it's over. Here comes the flametongue/call of the wild/primal fusion/thunderbluff/buffed 1 cost weapon.
And obviously the ladder is only full of them. I shit you not when I say that I happened to play 10 hunters in a row with one priest in between. Sometimes the obligatory zoolock that kills you at turn 5 when you don't play a tempo deck and hit the curve.

The luck of my opponents has been phenomenal today.
I've only played 3 games and my first opponent won a 1 in 8 brawl (that swung the game). 2nd didn't die whilst being at 6 health with 2 turns of fatigue and playing a 12+ spell Yogg (that swung the game). 3rd managed to get lethal from a 1 in 6 Rag shot (played that turn) while I had lethal on board (that obviously also swung the game).
You know what Blizzard, just keep the gold.

Fucking cunt game. It is 100% based on draw and matchup luck and thats IT. The only way to win consistently is to play OP cancer decks. Fucking asshole game.

Rogue gets Malygos from Barnes. Proceeds to throw 29 damage (exact lethal) to my face. So much for Reno.

No it's not when you dominate him all game (he did 1 damage to my face until that Barnes bullshit).
Another bullshit loss, this time to Freeze Mage where I managed to overdraw him to lose Alexstrasza, only to see him throw 32 damage of burn into my face regardless.

Yep the loss of annoyotron and healbot has pretty much given the ladder to aggressive face decks.
If you dare to put to many 4 mana or above minions in your deck then anything approaching a poor draw kills you
|
matched the only priest deck in the history of arena that drafted 2 lightbombs with my double obsidian destroyer deck
do you guys b elieve it
coz i do

actually scratch that this game is the fucking worst. there is so much garbage in this game. i just died to a paladin that played anyfin can happen 3 consecutive turns. the game before that i died to a hunter that got rag from barnes. earlier today i lost to hunter that played exactly two minions - barnes and y'shaarj. it's really nice when you die to a turn 4 10/10 and 3/4. and don't make me mention the number of games i've lost to shamans and dragon warriors because they got life tap from finley. seriously this is such a fucking failure in game design. the game was bad before karazhan and to me blizzard has just failed.
i want to go back in time and tell everyone complaining about midrange druid and secret paladin to just look and see what the game will be in 6 months. theres a card in druid now that lets you play upwards of 20 mana of cards in one turn. theres an 8 mana card in hunter that gives you >12 mana worth of minions no strings attached. theres a card in paladin that lets you play 3 anyfins. theres a card that will completely fucking invalidate the entire game beforehand.
i want to go back in time and tell myself what the game would be in 6 months so i can save myself some tears
rip hearthstone
