The odds are horrendous aren't they. The only interest bet worth having there would be on Day(9) to bear Reckful due to his MtG previous experience, maybe he will carry it over. The favourites are all so incredibly short there is no.... value.

The constructed ranking is completely meaningless, I'm 3 star master with mostly basic cards and I still face REALLY bad players. Unless it balances on your char level or deck somehow I don't know what's going on.

Yeah from what I can tell I'm getting this vibe,
I've been playing for 1 day. I win a few games then get bumped up a league, I'm in platuim now and feel as if the people I play against are around the same skill lvl as when I played my first ranked game

league promotions are very wishy-washy. I was basically getting a star every other win or so up until diamond 2, then it took a 20-2 run with my paladin deck to get diamond 3. After that it was more speedy again. I think there is some sort of weird roadblock at the diamond 2 level.

Maybe he just happened to get matched with opponents where he's favored, so he doesn't get much from winning. Didn't take many wins for me to pass through diamond.

I got master 3 the first day I got the beta, I lost maybe 1 or 2 games, and got a promotion after every 2 or 3 wins. I watched a good amount of streams before I played so I kinda knew how to play already, and everyone I played against was atrocious.
Not really sure how the MMR works tho, I've played about 10 days and only yesterday did I start facing people who are decent. Played arena and constructed about 50-50. I think it has something to do with the quality of the deck, since yesterday I got Malygos and then crafted Jaraxxus, so now my warlock deck is pretty stacked, and my opponents seem to also have stacked decks since then. Might just be a coincidence.

Play hunter, don't play any cards that cost more than 4. The deck builds itself (beasts). That should be fine for entry level play.

Ironically that's exactly what Trump is doing in arena. He's playing a hunter deck with 99% of his cards being 4 cost and under, with no 6 or 7 cards at all and only 1-2 5 cost cards. He was on an unofficial 16-0 streak, now hes taken his first loss vs a priest who got to lategame. He's currently 6-1 atm.

I have competent decks for Paladin, Priest, Shaman, and Mage.
I currently can't get Warrior/Hunter to work consistently. Warrior is so heavy handed early and feels like he runs out of steam after a certain point. Hunter simply lives and dies by Unleash.

In Magic a 4 CC cost card needs to be able to win by itself. In Hearthstone a 5+ card needs to win the game period. Card advantage << tempo. It's hard to get used to. It's also why mages are so annoying, with their massive aoe AND single target removal.

It's usable, for teh lulz... but I wouldn't plan on it competitively. Mages are known to one-shot Millhouse users.

He's decent in a full on minion aggro deck. I'd save him just in case. It's doubtful that you have anything that you urgently want to craft already.

Yesterday, i finally managed to get me away from arena long enough to create a constructed deck with some purpose. Now i call a Murloc deck my own. It's awesome. Went 1-2 in the three games i was able to play it. Still, definetely worth those 800 dust. Next step: Mage secret deck!

If you guys want a fun constructed deck with low crafting cost,make a shaman totem based deck. Flametounges are absolute beasts and bloodlust with 4 totems on the board is better value than most aoe removal. You also give 0 fucks if they wipe your board coz it was a mostly mana investment anyways
