Magic Online and World of Warcraft both charge you recurring money to play too. *fingers crossed for beta key*

I hope there's another form of "arena" type play that's free. It's a really fun game mode and I can see some people only enjoying that mode. Constructed decks just seem overpowered and very cheesy.
Its not really like Blizzard made the game. Its the WOW TCG in a dumbed down version. Upper Deck did it. Wish it was a little closer to the original as it was more challenging than this...

You don't need to play arena to play games against people. But if you want to you can use gold or real money.

You can go infinite arenas using gold if you have a higher winrate than 75% (7-3 records).

If you don't go infinite, there seems to be other ways to acquire gold as well like quests and ranked games, neither of which cost gold.
Going to be honest and say all that intrigues me about this game is Arena though, constructed doesn't seem that appealing yet with current card pool.

They take a shitload of time and do not give enough gold. If you go the questing route, it would take you 2 days to get to play 1 arena. And yeah, draft all the way.

I have a question. I don't know shit about this game but i am interested. The question is how much luck included? I'm not good with that shit.

You're not good with luck? :D, or you're not good with luck being included? There is quite a bit of luck involved. Some cards have randomly chosen targets or effects (they can backfire on you too). And like with any other card games, the top-deck is important (whatever you draw or your opponent draws can decide the game). But I think it's part of the skill to play around such volatility.

Just got to define "a game" as a tournament or a play session rather than each actual game. Much easier to deal with bad luck if you can do that.

It's not close to 50 strategy / 50 luck. There are so many decisions your making, and so many decisions your opponents making. Because us humans are imperfect, and let's be honest, many players are bad at strategy games(take a look at some of the streams), the rng factor is not that large. There is lots of rng built into the game, you draw random cards from your deck, you get to look at random cards in draft, they seemed to like rng in card design as well, you got things like kill a random one of their creatures with 2 toughness, things like arcane missiles that hits random targets, creature that deals 2 random damage on start of your turn, 50/50 to draw a card at end of each turn, on and on. Much more rng built in then I would like.
However, your decisions matter so much more than that rng,as with all card games. Just like poker and magic, players will be able to rise to the top. Those games have rng as well, yet the same players are able to consistently stay at the top of the game win multiple large huge pro packed tournaments. So rng is just part of it.
If you really can't deal with rng, and are constantly blaming rng instead of looking at what you could have done better to prevent that, then strategy card games aren't for you.
For instance, I've seen some people streaming this game get mad that their opponent top decked, or excited when they top deck, but in several of these instances they could have prevented this situation(needing to top deck, or allowing their opponent an out)
There will be a few games here and there where you or your opponent are completely screwed by rng, you or your opponent played well, but they had their 1 or 2 outs or you had yours. But that's life, and you need to make sure that you played well up to that point, and are happy with your decisions.

People blame way too much rng on tbs games to be honest.
