Although I do love watching streams it's so frustrating watching people play and make decisions that you don't think is right! Atleast you were watching Trump. Try Djwheat or day9 to want to kill yourself haha (although i love them, i have to pull the plug because i get really mad), and i think it's one of the greatest things to make me want to watch streamed HS. I rarely watch gaming streams aside esports, except maybe players like bomber because i really like them and they don't stream often, but i sure enjoy watching HS and be an armchair napoleon.

I couldnt agree more. WHEAT is infuriating to watch (still like him) and TB is not that great either. For some reason this game has really gotten my attention though I got tired of playing scrolls after 2 days. This looks much more promising imo.

But the level of competition on the beta seems so low, and you can get the same guy 2 or 3 time during an Arena run. Basically you can finish a full Arena just by being lucky in who you play.

Trump the only one worthy of Grandmaster title.

There could be some cool competitive formats in Hearthstone too. For example: picks and bans of hero classes; pick 3 classes and be required to use a different one for each game of a Bo3.

Sure, it's beta, but some of the beta tournaments in SC2 have been among the most exciting ever. Watching someone on a stream battle against random opponents is one thing, but watching a bunch of dudes progressing through a tournament is on a whole different level of fun. You should tweet your favorite streamers to get them to join!

the standard of making a deck etc is pretty garbage and has more to do with how much money you have

Its a shame arena format isnt really possible though, it would be more interesting.

I've watched a lot of constructed and a lot of arena. Given the absolute shallowness of the game, Arena is the only thing worth playing or watching until considerably more sets are released to make constructed actually interesting. That said, hopefully blizzard releases a way to do Arena w/ a group of people w/ round-robin or something instead of their current set up. It's fine for playing by yourself, but playing with friends, tournaments, etc would be greatly benefited from something that basic. It's still beta though (even if it's basically completed) and I have at least some faith left in blizzard to not fuck it up.

This honestly looks like their best designed game in quite a while. I guess making a card game is a lot easier though. I hope there's another form of "arena" type play that's free. It's a really fun game mode and I can see some people only enjoying that mode. Constructed decks just seem overpowered and very cheesy.

I am quite sick of WoW already(I guess it's too old) and D3 was a disappiontment due a lot of bad designs.

Also, I don't know if you know how MTG started, but if you listen to Mark Rosewater's podcast he explains that it started with very few people and not as complex as it is now. I can see this game growing and changing little things. Like I can see mana change into mana and energy and maybe rage, sort of like a land but played differently, just a thought. Sometimes good games are created by the smallest amount of people. Less people to get the project muddled. Same with making anything really.
