Also, look at a game like LoL, people pay hundreds (sometimes thousands) for that and that's a F2P game that attracts a lot of people. Difference being LoL offers you quicker access to variety for paying, not power (as long as the game is balanced). Hearthstone, as any other TCG/CCG, directly rewards you with power as long as you don't get terribly unlucky

I'd love for them to look at some other stuff down the line too though, i'd pay $ to have cairne instead of garrosh or something.

I think cairne is already a card :p.

The advantage of digital TCG (as opposed to paper TCG) is that you can earn cards without spending, albeit slowly.

Any time there's a Blizzard beta that I don't get into I get pissed.
WoW since launch, special edition of most xpacs, SC2 since launch, special edition of both, special edition D3. Bleeding-edge WoW raiding for three years, top .5% of WoW PvPers, decent at SC2 (Plat/Diamond). Wtf man.

Blizz doesnt prefer customers based on loyalty or in game achievements

thats a terrible logic. People dont get in beta based on performance in previous games. People get in beta if they're famous and attract interest for the game (Day9, Artosis, Enclase, etc) or solely based on luck and computer specs. Keep the faith you might get it sooner or later.

The logic behind how they do it is solid but it's annoying because it doesn't reward loyalty to Blizzard in any ways.

Here's something that's not been talked too extensively yet.
How do you guys feel about the size of the card pool? I feel like it's too small for 9 classes. I'm sure they'll add more down the line, but what's your first impression?

Since it's a small side project inside Blizzard, made by a small team, I think it's okay to launch with that many cards. They're really testing the water more than anything, don't forget about that.

US based company and a small side project. Plus great thing about the US only beta you get a huge audience of people to test from and you only need English which is perfect for a card game where words can matter. The game is localized already, seen people play it in spanish, text and voices.

I have to admit, that i haven't seen any kind of error/bugs on streams yet, and being a f2p game feels rare to see a so well polished beta. I may be wrong, since i haven't played it.

it looks so much more polished than the other betas.
trying to fill the time with scrolls/solforge/mmdoc, but those are sooooo clunky to play
