If it and other recent card games do, it's possible that several devs will push their own stuff out.

Oh man, I have been playing all day today since I got off work and I really have to say this game is so much fun! I wasn't looking forward to this game at all but once I got my key this morning I gave it a shot. Even though it is definitely a "casual" feeling game, it sure fills the spot of non competitive game that I need right now. Everyone knocking it should at least wait to try it out.

Thanks for that, checking VODs right now.

It's still a new Blizzard game, it's going to attract tons of attention no matter what it is. I don't play card games so my opinion is kind of pointless but it feels like a Popcap game, it's very playable/intuitive, and it's pretty fun to play.
That said there's nothing about it that stops me from thinking some random indie devs could have made this game and it would have fallen completely by the wayside

card game is very clever because there is a huge market in mobile platform card games and there is only small / weak competition existing right now. It's a great way for blizzard to try out f2p system as well as expanding onto mobile platform and imo, card game is going to be super huge on mobile because the hardware requirement is minimal AND on the go AND addictive.

That sounds spot on to me, feels like a casual indie game with the added bonus of WoW universe.
It does look pretty fun, however these types of games (to me personally, at least) don't have a long term appeal like other Blizzard titles.

i dont think its meant to have a long time appeal. its nothing you can play non stop for several months. i guess most ppl will spend a lot of time on it in the first weeks and once they have most cards, just play it casual

I fucking hate Windfury Shaman decks. Seriously. Even worse if they go second and coin a totem turn 1. Priests close second. I play Hunter. Not only does he counter my ability, but he can use it on ANYTHING. -.-

Since your critism isn't very objective may I ask you why you are posting in this thread?
You seemed to be disappointed when Hearthstone was announced or am I reading your old post in the wrong way? Why do you care?

I can't watch any other streams anymore. you clearly havent heard of saltybet... but yeah as somebody who have decent CCG knowledge, the only streams that i could enjoyed so far are Robsimpson and day9. Their decks and their decision making process are pretty solid while others are learning from 0. Day9 is awful lol :D Watched all of his vods first, had fun. But it was so painful ! :D

he is right.Blizzard could have been a bit innovative and said:"look this is not like the rest of the card games where you have to spend endlesss amounts of money to have a good pack. Here you can buy good cards but you can still get the same amount of cards by playing the game and winning".having to spend hundreds of dollars just to be decent is not something that attracts many people. But i guess people like me were never in blizzards target anyways.Oh well......

you might not get the same amount, but you still get the same cards eventually, i guess its closer to the riot model than i'd like, but that seems to be the way to make $$

Also, look at a game like LoL, people pay hundreds (sometimes thousands) for that and that's a F2P game that attracts a lot of people.

The way the game plays where there is no interaction from your opponent during your turn is actually very interesting for mobile. They could have asynchronous turn based gameplay and let you start up multiple games with friends where you send turns back and forth. Same as some very popular turn based games on mobile like Words with Friends.
