I'm doing some research about Korean clubs in or near Los Angeles. (I've made a blog post earlier about my research in Annandale, VA - now I've moved on to researching about kclubs in LA.
So far, I have come across a few popular clubs:
Velvet Room Karnak Le Prive (Now called Le Cercle?)
-------- In particular, I am interested in the following:
How much will I expect to spend to have a night out in one of these clubs? What other Korean clubs are there? Which age group goes to which club? Is there a particular night that's hot for a particular club? Any club known to be related to gang/criminal activities?
If possible, please PM me. I'd like to get some personal feedback on your take on the clubbing scene in LA.
with the exception of Karnak (which is considered an old person's club), those places suck donkey balls if you're not Korean. Without getting into details, you need to know employees of the clubs who will "book" a table for your group, which means you can't go there solo. you must pay for a food package which consists of watered-down crown and a fruit plate for about $500. the weird thing is that the waiters will then bring girls from all-girl tables to come hang out with you. This is how Nicholas Cage met his wife at Le Cercle (formerly known as Le Prive).
I haven't clubbed in a few years, but the trend now has been for Korean-Americans to hang out with the rest of the Asian scene in these high-end Hollywood clubs, such as Visionshock Entertainment: http://visionshock.com/

Is there a person that I can get in contact with that knows the current partying scene in LA? (E-mail, phone, PM)
basically you have to pay X amount of money (usually several hundreds of $$) for a table or even more for a room. i've heard of groups of people spending up like $10,000 in a single night.
basically what you've just paid for is service where the waiters will bring random girls to your table so you can chat/drink with them a few minutes, if you guys hit it off you can go off and do whatever you want, if you don't like her or she doesn't like you, the waiter will bring you another girl. this will happen all night long.

Edit: PLEASE keep trolling to a minimum
Le Cercle is a good booking club.
You should expect to spend 300-1000$ total for everyone depending on how much you want to drink. (This is if you get a room and want lots of booking...you can go in as a normal loser for minimal $ and just get drinks at the bar or w/e but you might end up waiting in line for a long time to get in).
Age group 21-28 from my experience.
The only nights that are good are Friday/Saturday nights. You should go around 10 or 11 PM. Closes like 2:30 I think so it's kinda lame compared to real Korean night clubs in Seoul which are open until 7 AM lol.
If you are non-korean they will be inclined to treat you poorly unless you know he right waiter. Pinoccio is the best from my experience since he's more like a korean korean. Don't trust the kyopo faggots.
I went there one night on a thursday just to check it out. There were barely any people but still enough girls for us to have fun I guess. At the end of the night I tipped this waiter 200$ extra. Then we went back on a friday night and the waiter completely neglected us. Then when he brought in the bill I told him to fuck himself and that he's getting 200$ less than the bill and he can pay it with the tip I gave him yesterday. This works in Korea. This doesn't work in USA. He then went and got this huge black bouncer and I paid the bill in it's entirety.
LOL
I've only been to Le Cercle but I imagine the other clubs are similar. Despite everything Le Cercle is still a lot of fun. Everyone there is having a good time and happy, girls are actually quite hot, maybe even better than the average night in the best booking club in Seoul.
Area is pretty ghetto. Stay together and you'll be okay. I got this private korean driver in LA that I always have waiting to pick me up outside the club. He's such a manner guy. One time we were driving down the highway back to our hotel and my friend puked out the side of the car and all over it. He was like "HAHAHA ITS OKAY!!!! JUST GIVE ME 100 DOLLAR OKAY???" LOL!!!
Dangerous though. The first time I went there I went this korean girl I knew and another friend. We were leaving the club and me and my friend left in the car of 2 girls we met in the club and the girl I went with was just gunna get a cab back to her place (the cabs were right there near the entrance.) Apparently she went somewhere to use the restroom first though. Then early in the morning I got a note from the front desk saying "CALL KAT SERIOUS" the girl was found in a hotel room 1 hour away abducted by some white weirdo and she had a broken nose. Luckily someone saw him carrying her in unconscious and immediately called the cops before he could do whatever he planned on doing. Cops arrested him even though he claimed to be her 'boyfriend.' She was totally fine and the dudes in jail now....but still that scared the fucking crap outa me. I felt really irresposible as I should have taken her home myself or atleast made sure she was safely in the cab. I took the area for granted as I was too used to Korea where its 100% safe. Oh well she was safe and lessons learned.

You can get any kind of alcohol u want there. And u can spend way less than 500$ if u just get 1 bottle. And it's very easy to get a waiter just call the number on the site and ask them to give you the number of one of the waiters. Speaking korean won't hurt though lol
