It sucks that they picked them based on audition rather than tryout... seems they chose based on drama-factor instead of skill. I honestly feel I could rock 99% of these people and get $100k easy. None of them have been good at any of the games so far with the exception of rock band with ciji you must remember how nerve racking it is to actually be there and playing. I'm sure these players would be much much better if it were in a casual situation whilst playing with friends. Its one thing to be able to play the games, and another thing to be able to play the games while on TV and in the middle of a very nerve racking contest.

You have to figure out how to position your feet correctly to carry out the upcoming steps so you don't lose balance and miss the timings. Not really, Starcraft and football probably will be great for incontrol in DDR. There is not much difficulty progressing from beginner to light to standard, the biggest change is from standard to heavy imo. I couldn't get a majority of the steps on like 80% of the heavy songs when I played.

Many of these people have been in 'nerve-racking' positions before in their respective national tournaments. Saying that the pressure of the event is getting to them is not a legitimate excuse.

I hope I'm wrong! | ||

Yeah I tried to think about it and I concluded that he figured since he got 2nd in the RL challenge that he was guaranteed not to come in last place so he figured he could blow it off.

I hope I'm wrong! I was unfortunately thinking the same but then I thought about this: 1. Halo Wars is a popular RTS atm and a candidate for the show imo. 2. Starcraft is at WCG and they know its Inc's specialty and that it succeeds as a spectator sport in Korea so they know it wont be boring and that it can entertain a crowd. So may be just may be we will see SC (DONT BURST MY BUBBLE). Oh and also WCG just got resigned by OGN according to SCFORALL so they have that relationship which may mean theyd want them to show SC on the show since thats their primary tv cash cow ect.

By far the biggest difficulty increase is from light to standard because it introduces crossovers, deathruns and other assorted nonsense. If you learn standard then the advancement to Heavy should be a great deal easier. I mean I guess it depends on the person but I blasted through heavy when it took me forever to get adequate at standard. I advanced to heavy difficulty and not 3 weeks later I was passing Max300... Unless any of these guys are rocking 10 footers (unlikely...) though none of it matters, all you'll need is to be pretty good at a 5-6 foot standard and you're fine.

Just look at Starcraft Progamers in korea, their always saying in interviews that they can't use 100% of their skills in a real game. When it gets competitive people usually take fewer risks and in turn their play might suffer.

It's not on the game list. Only console games will be played. It isn't fast paced enough to put on the show and the game has no standard ending point, unlike all the other games that have a specific end (song completion, best of 5 in fighting, laps on a track, etc) There isn't a good real life equivalent. It's not happening.

Well kind of, the true gap in difficulty comes from the 9-foot to the 10-foot plataeu (Sakura and Bag not included). Those have such a huge jump in just how hard they are to complete that people can be stuck on 9 footers forever due to mere footspeed. 300bpm 8note steps is like.. 7 steps a second or something. Generally the difficulties in the older mixes (all the console version) are pretty uniform.
