Its pretty much a metaphor for the Trump administration as a whole.

The packages all being identical and being mailed out of the same location made it easy to flag them. But they are still bombs and could have gone off in transport. The bomber had a bad plan, but it was still super dangerous.

at this point i’m thinking it’s not incompetence and they weren’t intended to go off.
not that it should be treated any less seriously. but it seems to me, completely unsubstantiated speculation, like some asshole trying to get-in on the next big thing that’ll further divide our politics. which is grossly cynical of me, but i guess here i am.

The DOJ is reporting that they have someone in custody. And of course, the investigation started in Florida.

This is a good op-ed on the migrant caravan and how it never has been and likely never will be a crisis. The caravan is 900 miles away and is made up of poor starving people living off the charity of people around them. And it is shrinking. But Trump’s fake crisis is a naked effort to drive voters to the polls.
Furthermore the caravan is symbol that Trump’s tough talk on immigrant doesn’t work. People are still coming and locking them up won’t stop them. Separating their children won’t stop them. Trump, in all his faux toughness, is unable to threaten people fleeing violence that Trump and Steve Miller lack the imagination to contemplate. He is a weak sad man yelling about the desperate people coming to the border of the US and begging us for help.

White male in his 50s driving a white van covered in pro-GOP/Trump stickers, from Florida. Why am I not shocked it's Florida?

And Trump is whining about the media not talking about the caravan of starving people 900 miles away.

This is standard terrorism, and no one is surprised that the terrorist is a white, Republican, Trump-obsessed man in his 50's, from Florida, no less.

Actually he seems to be a pro-Trump "native american". To be confirmed.

Looks to be a right wing terrorist ala Timothy McVeigh.

Waiting for the "he clearly suffers from a mental illness." I wonder how many times they'll call it domestic terrorism.

Registered Republican with a history of bomb-related felonies.

Are you suggesting that logic will convince a conspiracy theorist that their conspiracy is wrong?

No the theory will assume its just a long con and he is faking supporting the Rs to hurt their chances

I'm being dead serious when I ask this: You guys know this is only going to get worse right? The bombs will become more common, Democratic offices will be set on fire in the middle of the night, and shootings will start happening with greater frequency. Like, we can be fairly sure that this is going to continue to escalate. The only question at this point is how fast it will and how bad it will get. If the Dems win, it will go into overdrive. If the Republicans win..... I could see it cooling off. But that opens a whole other can of worms for the rest of us sane people.

You can't vote in FL with a felony at this moment, however, there is an amendment which apparently is pushing to allow people that have been in prison to vote.
Also yes, another FL man, I'm 100% trying to move out of FL before A) we go underwater, and B) real crazy shit happens here. Like I said in a previous post, some republicans are ready for war in their own turf for no reason... They rather fight with guns, than talk to the other side like a normal person.

It's an amendment to allow people, which have served their sentence for a non-violent crime, to have their voting rights automatically restored, upon completion of said sentence. Doubt it would apply to this guy.
