Every car would be a "nice" car, really. I guess Scion would be one of those cars that pride's on balance. It offers power, but not too much. It offers luxury, but not too much. It offers good gas mileage, but not too good. etc. It doesn't really excel in anything, and my personal preference is cars that have a definite purpose. The way I see a Scion is like... Could be four door, giving it more space... Could either be more power or better gas mileage. Could be made of better materials, but isn't... etc. EDIT: And oh, my car is done tinted. Pimp -_-;; I'll post pics after my rims/new engine/turbo. | ||

Yeah, I figured you'd probably switch the tranny anyways, seeing as how you're intending to drop 400+hp into it, and it'd probably explode if you didn't switch it. I actually hadn't though of auto being more efficient, a lot of manuals these days are actually slower from 0-60 and give less gas mileage. Still, I wouldn't call someone a proper enthusiast if they drove an auto. To each his own, I guess, I'm so conservative when it comes to cars. ![]() | ||

EDIT: And oh yeah, you should take a look at the new trannies they offer nowadays. They have some that even take out the gear shift "jerk" like in the new Nissans. What I meant was that many new performance auto trannies are also quicker at gear shifting than any human will ever be. That is obviously better for certain uses like drag racing or mostly straight away races. Manuals will almost always dominate drift racing though, IMO. EDIT 2: You actually can't put 400+ HP into an Accord. You can, but that'll make it too fast. That's why I'm only using Stage 2 instead of Stage 3 or 4 turbo. One of my friends put stage 3 in his '93 Civic and he can barely make turns. He has to take them real wide and make sure it's clear of all traffic each time. It's about a 4-5 second car though. | ||

Also, I like the balance as well... makinng turns is not really an issue if you are a good driver. People say that Suspension and car tuning makes your car turn better, but it's still left to your driving preferences IMO. For example, Lincoln Continentals are in no way, shape, or form meant to be a race car, but I feel that I can make better turns with the suspension/tuning in that car than any other car I've driven. And believe me, I've driven cars like Corvettes and BMW's which are supposed to have top-line suspensions. | ||
