It's been posted before, but probably long forgotten. This site is sufficiently awesome that it warrants a new thread.

Please do not post level urls or any answers!!
Hints are fine but only in
+ Show Spoiler +
I've been playing the game off and on, it's good for years of fun if you take it slow and don't spoil it for yourself. There's no point in trying to cheat your way through it. You don't have to solve a riddle right away. Just take a break and come back to it, EVENTUALLY you'll figure it out. Guaranteed. I spent two years on one of the riddles. No lie.

I'm currently at level 96 (please refer to high levels in this manner, so you don't spoil anything). I intend to finish this before I die. Good luck guys, and more importantly, have fun.

Taken from the notpron site:

Player Quotes:
"Hard, harder, Notpron!"

"This is possibly the greatest "game" I have ever played in my life!"

"I'm glad I took my time solving each riddle on my own, and didn't rush to the forums demanding help or looking for cheats.Getting through it all was a torture at times, but very much worth the satisfaction I got from solving each level!"

"Thanks for making me learn how to use my computer!"

"I find it challenging and I finally have put my random computer-geek skills to use."

"Congratulations for keeping me busy for weeks. Not even the latest games with some killer 3D graphics could get me as excited as NotPr0n. And damn you for making me learn something!"

"Not Pron is greatest thing to come along since sliced bread!"

"You don't have to be a computer nerd to get through the levels.
Just gotta be a quick learner and more importantly, willing to learn."

Poll: Do you like this game?
(Vote): Absolutely.
(Vote): Yeah, but when it takes too long to solve it gets boring.
(Vote): Not really my type of game.

on lv4 for example, they ask me to do work decoding some morse code. that task is not hard, it is just time consuming.

Please remove your spoiler.

Also, you may note that the riddles get progressively more interesting later on. The first few levels are a warmup. They are also not very time consuming. You will spend much much more time on later levels.

i've heard that no one has finished solving it yet. like ppl have come to an end through many "forks" in the road where they could have taken another path, but no one has ever found the right path to take all the way through.

if that's true then im guessing the programmer for that website is constantly adding to it. and the only person that could possibly beat is no one :/

although its all rumor it's still a cool idea imo

Incorrect, it is possible to reach the last level he added, and some people have been able to do so. He will add more, I hope, and then you can just come back and solve the rest (new).

I tried this like 2 years ago, i got to level 32 on my own, but some are taking so long and some ones you just feel like you will never get. I heard there were about 89 levels? Plenty to play. Don't use any hints tho, it's lame.

i played it a while ago. Did some levels on my own and others with help/hints and others with direct spoil. Wish i hadn't since i would like it to play it but it just doesn't do it for me now
So, really, if you like the game play it fair, if not drop it. It doesn't prove you are smart if you get far.

I agree. If you're going to use hints/spoilers, it's a total waste of your time to play at all. You can get immense satisfaction from solving a riddle after several months of die-hard persistence. Don't miss out ; )

The way you get to the other lvl by typing lvl 4 instead of lvl3, and so having in the mind the cheat feeling...

I can't know if i've cheated by using it or not so, i don't like it.

just a question about stuff like this: it would be much much better if hints/passes/urls werent spread. I even have a few ideas for games which are interesting, but which depend on information not being publicly available. How could a developer ever go about this? Is there a way at all? Something like making a webpage with info on it illegal in T&A? This would really help mystery games, all your thoughts appreciated.

if notpron was popular, and i get the feeling that it was, though it wasn't marketed for money, all you should have to do is tell people not to spoil it for themselves in some effective way, and if they do then they're fucked. that's if you could sell it at all.
i'm stuck on level 8 for now.
damn google shit "-notpron" doesn't always avoid spoilers. i caught one by accident that pretty much ruined level 7 for me. well it was still good just sort of guiltily spoiled and slightly less satisfying. this game reminds me of those old nintendo games like immortal, that seem impossibly confusing but you just keep coming back to it and eventually you figure it out.

I think you would lose a huge player base if you didn't provide hints for those who have trouble figuring it out. Sure people love a good puzzle, but some are easily frustrated and just want to cheat to see what's next.

I'm pretty interested in what your game ideas are though!

You're not retarded ; ) Although you'll probably have a feeling similar to "why didn't I think of that earlier" a lot.

BTW, if you make typo's and calculation errors etc it can slow you down a lot, because you might throw a good solution away.
