Walker was self described adrenaline junkie, driving a flashy car with his friend, it's not hard to imagine him taking some risks/going a little fast. I've got a buddy who ended up in a wheelchair after a crash into a tree, he was going too fast, lost control.
Shame, he seemed to be a pretty down to earth guy, involved in charity and other such projects.
He wasn't the driver though. Its incredible sad. I wonder how they are going to handle this with the next f&f movie. If they have some scenes shot, maybe they could edit them together to make it look like he dies in the movie too. Could be considered untasteful though. Depends on how its done I guess.

Don't worry, cardboard mask does the trick when the main actor dies:

I think the after pics looks worse than what actually happened since the fire department most definitely cut the thing to pieces trying to get them out. Saw some pics on reddit and apparently just under where the wreckage is there is some sort of piping and some were speculating it could be a gas pipe I guess that could explain the car catching fire... So sad either way RIP.

I doubt the word irony entered his mind.
Its sad and i am convinced death was instant or never noticed, reasons follows. + Show Spoiler +
Im going to share what i thought when i lost control of my car and jumped a rail: "Fuck no you dont! *thought aimed at the car* RAIL!! Shit this is going to hurt. *tensing up for impact and jumping the rail* I refuse to die! *first impact* Please no death. I REFUSE so please please please plea... *then blank* I don't know when i blacked out exactly but it was after first impact and we were completely still when i came to. By applying logic i was out for at least a few minutes as the rail was lined with people when i looked up after coming to. This was only doing 70-85 Km/h ( 45-53 mph ). Going by this, If they survived the impact its unlikely they came to and noticed the fire. Being out (or dead) supports the fire to since if unconscious none would have turned of the electric system and the chance of fire greatly increases.
Sad for his daughter. He seemed like a nice guy. Good that no else was killed or injured in the crash except his friend. Had a simular incident where i live where someone was driving a sports car and lost control and hit a little child that was riding his bicycle on the pavement. Neither the child nor the driver made it. I just cant feel any sadness when wreckless drivers die due to their own stupidity. The roads will be a little bit safer from now on. RIP.

Apparently they are making the movie anyway, or at least that was the way I understood it. It will likely be the last though, I can't see how they could keep it going after this.

Porshe crashing into a tree and catching fire is pretty different from Mazda RX-7 being rammed by Mercedes CLS and possibly catching fire (I don't remember if it started all by itself or if Statham did something there).

No, that is disrespectful for the Walker family for Paul to die IN the movie too.
For anyone that is wondering, the driver was Roger Rodas, who is an experienced race car driver. You can Google him to find his race history.
I know that Paul Walker is more known than Roger Rodas when it comes to entertainment, but it is a little disheartening that people are not acknowledging Rodas. Some even blame him for the accident. We do not know whether that is true or not.

Source? They planned the series up to 9 already. A possible scenario is that they stop filming for time to mourn, and then pick up filming again. They are about 3 or 4 months into filming and money has already been invested, but who knows.

I know it can very quickly sound that way. But consider that most directors, if a stundman dies while filming a movie, they want that clip in the movie to honor his memory. Sure Paul is not a stuntman and he didn't die while filming, but it would in a way be honoring his memory if they kept him in the movie. The death needs to be tasteful (not gruesome), honorable and probably off camera though.

They're best to ask permission from the Walker family. I still think they should use any available footage that they filmed so far, but have him and his family run off in the movie, which is another safe choice.

The new "Fast and Furious" movie was scheduled to shoot key scenes with Paul Walker this week -- and on the heels of his death, several members of the cast and crew say they won't be returning to the set anytime soon ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the production tell us most of the actors and crew were supposed to fly to Atlanta this weekend to resume filming on Tuesday ... but they're all expecting a halt in production.
Universal -- the studio behind the movie -- hasn't announced when, or if, they'll start shooting again ... but we're told some of the main stars are too distraught to work anyway.
According to our sources ... most of this week's scenes centered around Paul, so even if Universal were to go forward ... it would need major rewrites.
Ultimately, the biggest hurdle to completing 'FF7' could be the emotions of the actors. As one source put it, "No one wants to even think about the movie. Period."
We contacted Universal for comment ... no word back yet.
