Are there countries that stop counting votes for the night??

Right now in austria, there is lawsuit ongoing because in the presidential election, many postal votes were (partially) counted on the the day of the election (sunday), while according to law, the count of the postal votes was not supposed to start until monday, 9am.

Britbongs, I don't know what the right choice is regarding Brexit, but I hope that whatever choice you guys make benefits your country

I'm pretty sure after this referendum result comes in, both sides will still be very ashamed of themselves

From Guardian twitter

Prof John Curtice has told the BBC that turnout in London seems to be 2 or 3% lower than expected, based on figures in so far. That might be the result of terrible rain we had in the capital. If so, this is bad for remain, which counts London as a stronghold.

You would think out of all weather conditions rain would deter a Brit the least.

Yeah well maybe that's still true

The University of East Anglia is running a referendum live blog. They have been crunching the numbers and, on the basis of the first five results, they are forecasting a narrow win for Leave.

WTF. Good night everyone.

I mean, its 3% constituencies in, and London, Scotland and Wales haven't thrown their hats in yet. The Remain parties have their strongest cards still left.

Doesn't that just play right into the Leave campaign's hands having to go to Scotland to shore up votes. That and aren't they self governing.

NI may not be as bad for leave as expected.
From Guardian blog
The turnout figures for the four Belfast constituencies are out and they show that unionist majority areas have voted significantly more than republican districts.

In republican West Belfast – a Sinn Féin stronghold – the turnout was 48%, an historic low compared to successive general and assembly elections. By contrast, the turnout in loyalist East Belfast was 66%, as it was in the more liberal South Belfast constituency. In North Belfast, where there is a sizeable republican and nationalist population, the turnout was 57%.

This reflects a trend across Northern Ireland where unionists, especially working-class loyalists, appear more animated about EU-related issues – most notably on immigration – compared to working-class republicans and nationalists. Lee Reynolds, of the leave campaign, was clearly correct in terms of his analysis of working-class loyalism and this referendum: they came out to vote in unprecedented numbers.

According to BBC, Leave exceeds remain by over 100K. I'm not sure but I think it is obvious now. Right?

London and Birmingham will swing it back a lot, there is a long way to go.
