lmao, this is just like the to wash or not to wash your hands after you pee. I usually wash my hands and I will keep standing thank you! =D

Hey man, sometimes you've already made the drop and then realize you gotta make more marines.

Urine isn't even dirty, it's drinkable even. If your urine is that bad maybe you should go to a doctor.

WTF is with this article mentioning the EPA and linking it with Taiwan? The EPA is a USA organization, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me to mention the two together really.
What I find more strange is that the EPA would talk about this issue at all in the first place — they're about the environment, not human health (well obviously health is affected by environment but that's not direct).
Lastly, isn't urine rather safe/sanitary? Sure it stinks, but I don't think it is actually the source of any real health issues; am I lacking information? At the least the EPA should have (or the article should have if the EPA did) mentioned various studies that support their claim — just saying something is hearsay and is baseless.

Most bathrooms have urinals, and 2-3 cubicles, which usually have 1 high tech toilet with built in everything, and one hole in the floor. Its not peeing they need to worry about, I can't count the amount of the times I went into the hole in the floor cubicles and found a lump of shit lying at the side because the previous occupant couldn't aim their arse crack.
Oh dog...

Men who don't stand to pee will have their penile privileges revoked and somebody from the Otak Corp will be over in 2-4 business days to repo your penis.

hanging toilets are for standing, sitting toilets are sitting, obvious. If there is a hanging in public i go to that one, if there is not, i'll not be sitting down, because its to nasty. I only sit down at home, and clean toilets from friends/family.

Damit but there is no fun in sitting.
Urinating standing, while you are completely wasted are great memorise of my childhood.
And there is always the game of how far can you go!
What next? Obligatory wearing socks with sandals?

Taiwan's Environmental Protection Administration minister Stephen Shen makes order in Taiwan that men must sit down to urinate. Local governments will soon post information that men should sit down. This is for public toilet. The EPA say that standing up pissing is cause of bad hygeine because of of urine spatter. This is cause of bad health and bad smells too. EPA demand to people that they want to follow position of Japan in Sweden in urinate issue. EPA official say that in Japan 30% of men sit to urinate, so they have nice clean fragrant toilet. But there is many protest to people, who say, it is stupid and difficult becuase they are not trained to sit down to urinate. People also ask if it is really good for hygeine according to study? Is Does Japan and Sweden man really sit down to urinate? Is theirs toilet cleaner? Should men learn to sit down to urinate therefore?
"They are not trained to sit down and urinate" that is like the dumbest excuse ever, its actually easier than standing and im pretty sure they have done it hundreds of times when they are taking a shit
Not that i would ever start sitting down to pee except if im already sitting down doing number two. Standing is just more fun

So how will they check if your sitting down or not ? Silly little thing that can never be envorced without breaking privacy rules.
|
I sit down since my parents taught me to do so when I was little, to avoid plashing over the floor.
I find it more confortable overall to sit than to stand, whether I watch TV, eat or urinate.
|
I sit at home but since people don't do it in public toilets I don't either. Which is stupid, but understandable. Also one of the reasons I avoid public toilets. I never use the toilets at work, for example.

One reason has to do with hygiene and a desire to ensure that no one who uses the toilets at the county council's offices will be required to walk through puddles or residue left by stray urine which happens to splash out of the bowl and onto the floor when male employees pee standing up.
The Left Party also cites medical research it claims shows that men empty their bladders more efficiently when they are seated.
The improved bladder evacuation not only reduces the risk for prostate problems, according to the party, but also helps men who sit rather than stand achieve a longer and healthier sex life, the local Folket newspaper reported.

Germany here. I sit down, even on public toilets, which are clean most of the time. There are way more disgusting things you touch every day than toilet seats. Coins or door handles for example. If you stand up while peeing, use a urinal.
|
Sitting at home or at friend's.
When I am partying or just somewhere else, I normally stand at an urinal.
The biggest pussies in my opinion are those who are not using an urinal but a normal toilet standing there trying to hide their wiener or just being embarassed or whatever stupid reason there might be Oo
