So that means in Dota2 you have to rice for an hour straight before anything happens (see that dota2 tournament, first game was over 90 minutes long)

I just uninstalled the game because i can't stand how shitty the community in that game is.

DotA-genres have communities like that.

Why all the LOL bashing is a fun game with a successful formula, I really like it and I also play Starcraft 2. Those are my flagship games I'm really happy LOL is getting the appretiation it deserves.

The skillcap is high enough to allow competitive play. I do not find Dota2 to be "more difficult" than LoL.
Anyway, if skillcap were the end all be all of esports, I'd still be watching BW.

Well I'm happy that a game requiring such skill, decision making, multi-tasking, speed, raw mechanics, mental strength and no keyboard will be the 'competitive esport' to show to the mainstream.

I have to agree both sides.
Firstly, DotA2 isn't that HARDCORE HARDER than some want it to be. They partly have just a different focus of complexity.
Then again, LoL is easier for newcomers. The shadows, the gold loss, the denying, the more 'hidden' items and HP&mana bars make a little bit more difficult. Then again², once you reached a certain niveau and got used to the gameplay, DotA isn't really that much harder.

Why don't you just answer his question?

Indeed. LoL is much easier to get into than Dota. But at the highest level, it is pretty much the same.
I have also heard that from players that played both LoL and Dota at the highest level.

know what can shift this around?
Starcraft 2: Broodwar F2P

No keyboard? Are you under the impression that people click on their skills?

I have played both games a lot and can give you some comparisons.
In League of Legends we have heroes who don't need mana at all. I feel that this is stupid as shit since it makes the game very hard to balance around items. This leads to making spells the core aspect of a hero (or Champion) which DotA does not have. In DotA, items is so important and not only to get AD/AP or HP. Active items such as blink dagger, force staff, ghost scepter, sheepstick etc. makes it so much more diverse. A normal hero can have up to 10 spells which all will be very useful. In LoL I rarely see spells being used other than the 4 main spells and the two summoner spells.
Juking. In LoL we juke by walking into a bush and then out again. Seriously? In DotA 2 we have trees EVERYWHERE and high ground vision, night/day + cliffs. Juking becomes a very important part of the game. Just check any "highlight video" for DotA and you'll see juking and one single hero killing 5 others by using utility items and not Lee Sin spamming Q and E to kill everyone. You don't have that in LoL.
Death. Dying is such a big thing in DotA. You lose so much gold that you can lose up to 10 minutes of farm. In League of Legends you keep all the gold, much more forgiving.
Courier and secret shops. To only be able to buy items in base is the cause to the gold and death issue. But with courier and secret shops you can buy items while on lane and save yourself with clutch moves. Ex. run into secret shop with 5 hp buy a blink dagger + tp and blink away into the trees right when SK comes in with a stun and tp away.
These are only a few things in DotA that differs from LoL which makes DotA such a more diverse game. Another example is that almost every hero can carry in LoL by buying 6 Rabadons. LoL...

MLG didn't earn 11.3 million with Winter Arena. They sold 11.3 million worth of equity in their company after winter arena happened. Who knows how related the two events were.

You are punished much harder in DotA 2 for early game mistakes than you are in League of Legends. This lets you build up an advantage/lead that prevents bad shit like one bad teamfight from turning the game around. Alot of players rage in League because no matter how hard you're stomping in the early game of League, the other team will always pick up some farm, and at some point if you have one bad teamfight you get rolled horribly despite all of your hardwork in the early/mid game. A team grabbing a baron buff is a huge deal, it lets them get complete map control and free towers during the duration of the buff.

That's not true. I was Gold in beta and when they released Masters I got into Diamond. I never played Starcraft before, all I did was learning three BO's and poorly execute them with my 70 APM. That's how easy SC2 is.
