You guys don't like it because most of you like rock...and you compare your rap to rock....when are you going to understand you can't compare the two genres, they're completely different. What do they say thats so good in rock? Pls enlighten me? If you don't like it then don't listen to it. But in the end its still selling alot more records than any of the bands you listen to. O and you think people that like rap don't separate the good type of rap from the bad one, real lyrical rap vs Club shit made just to sell talking about money cars only? Just like you separate your "real" rock from your "gay emo shit" or w.e . And if you can't understand why people like rap .... then don't keep on trying, chances are you never will. Just like some of you don't like techno....theres alot more to it thatn just "the same shit all over again and again" . Its a different genre therefore calls for different aspects like the way it builds up to a climax while incorporating other rythms, you cant appreciate that because your not an average listener of techno, while a person that listens to it can distinguish which song took more talent, or is better in their aspects. Same goes for rap. i agree with you. Alot of people that like rock dont like the songs on the radio cause they dont like the mainstream rock bands out there. But on the other hand always critic rap by what they hear constantly played on the radio and dont realize just like there is an underground rock culture, there is the same for rap. But most of the people on the forum wanna put down other genre's because they just dont wanna have an open mind to genre's total oppisite of what they like. There are so many people that like to put down tastes of other people because its contrary to their own and its really sad ;\. If you dont like something dont listen to it, please dont make dumb topics which are basicly "ROFL look at this song, isn't it stupid?" Everyone talks about respecting and other peoples taste but few actually do.

How ever you diss rappers/rap music it will sell 5 times more records than any rock album you can think of.. Flaming the whole genre based on one particular rapper's linguistic ability is retarded. At least they're true to themselves.. they live the lyrics,--> gansta lifestyle unlike metal heads. Why would you even expect English proficiency from guys who spent most of their lives in the ghetto without proper education? Hiphop is more of the beats, flow, rhythm and the rhyming skills not so much of linguistic perfection. who with the right mind listens to hiphop expecting a well written poetry? Live the lifestyle my ass (not that i care if they live the lifestyle or not, really shouldn matter) but 50cent lives in conneticut and probably would get shot in new york =o

Secondly, Iced Earth song lyrics haven't caused suicide, but rap music has caused shootings. I understand that you're biased, but no need to show it with that sort of ignorance. lol I bet you that there have been more suicides from people that listen to rock than there have been shootings.

music doesn't cause someone to commit suicide jesus christ it's just that rock music is generally less upbeat than hiphop. (not more depressive. I can't think of anything more depressive than people idolizing (the vast majority of, there are certainly some who deserve respect. =]) hiphop stars and the bling bling culture. ) and it IS more common for the "popular crowd" to listen to hiphop than rock. (myself by far preferring rock. ) and thus people who start listening to rock are more likely to commit suicide before they start listening to rock than people who listen to hiphop before they start listening to hiphop claiming the music has anything to do with it is fucking bullshit. I don't think hiphop music causes shootings either though.
