Rush - Freewill There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance A planet of play things We dance on the strings Of powers we cannot perceive 'The stars aren't aligned Or the gods are malign...' Blame is better to give than receive [Chorus ![]() You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill I will choose a path that's clear I will choose freewill There are those who think That they were dealt a losing hand The cards were stacked against them They weren't born in Lotusland All preordained A prisoner in chains A victim of venomous fate Kicked in the face You can't pray for a place In heaven's unearthly estate [Chorus] Each of us A cell of awareness Imperfect and incomplete Genetic blends With uncertain ends On a fortune hunt that's far too fleet

since everyone is posting lyrics... i'll post some that represent myself well;) I am the walking dead heartbreaker... my apologies... I'm happy you'll never understand... what it's like to be... trapped under six feet of... solid glass... I can see out, but no one gets in... Screaming at the prison... I've locked myself into.. I'm sorry that I'm still breathing... and that I'll Kill again... but the loneliness is too much... for me to handle. the taste of fresh blood... pushes me on. I.. told myself.. the constant pain.. could ease..the tension... the burning inside.. But the nights... were cold... and the days... dragged to weeks... I will die... here alone... I will die.. The fear of romance. The pain of living. The joy of sorrow. The strength of not forgiving. God help me... I'm so tired... but in my dreams... the wolves eat out my soul... God help me... I'm so frightened... but in my dreams... the wolves tear out my heart... I used to be golden... a saint in a time of sorrow... but then the turning came... and I kissed the sun goodbye... don't you get it... it's always darker in my eyes, the screams of my brothers.. egging me on

these days, i can't bare listening to any hip hop, beyond a handful of artists, who would be considered 'underground'. Simply put, the more popular artists/groups are utter shite.

You guys don't like it because most of you like rock...and you compare your rap to rock....when are you going to understand you can't compare the two genres, they're completely different. What do they say thats so good in rock? Pls enlighten me? If you don't like it then don't listen to it. But in the end its still selling alot more records than any of the bands you listen to. O and you think people that like rap don't separate the good type of rap from the bad one, real lyrical rap vs Club shit made just to sell talking about money cars only? Just like you separate your "real" rock from your "gay emo shit" or w.e . And if you can't understand why people like rap .... then don't keep on trying, chances are you never will. Just like some of you don't like techno....theres alot more to it thatn just "the same shit all over again and again" . Its a different genre therefore calls for different aspects like the way it builds up to a climax while incorporating other rythms, you cant appreciate that because your not an average listener of techno, while a person that listens to it can distinguish which song took more talent, or is better in their aspects. Same goes for rap. I like rap, just not shitty bullshit MTV rap with no substance. These rappers have JACK SHIT to say today. Listen to a rapper like 2pac and todays rappers and you get the impression that any idiot can make a rap cd these days.

First of all, you like 1tym. If any of you don't know what that is, 1tym was the Korean equivalent of..... You know what? I can't even think of a well known american group that was as gay and pointless as 1tym. I bet you are one of those fags that like flytosky, god, etc and all that other bullshit.

Here are some lyrics from a song I'm sure a lot of you have heard, not much repetition and also they have MEANING. Something rare these days. Something has to change. Un-deniable dilemma. Boredom's not a burden Anyone should bear. Constant over stimu-lation numbs me and I wouldn't have It any other way. It's not enough. I need more. Nothing seems to satisfy. I don't want it. I just need it. To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive. Finger deep within the borderline. Show me that you love me and that we belong together. Relax, turn around and take my hand. I can help you change Tired moments into pleasure. Say the word and we'll be Well upon our way. Blend and balance Pain and comfort Deep within you Till you will not have me any other way. It's not enough. I need more. Nothing seems to satisfy. I don't want it. I just need it. To feel, to breathe, to know I'm alive. Knuckle deep inside the borderline. This may hurt a little but it's something you'll get used to. Relax. Slip away. Something kinda sad about the way that things have come to be. Desensitized to everything. What became of subtlety? How can it mean anything to me If I really don't feel anything at all? I'll keep digging till I feel something. Elbow deep inside the borderline. Show me that you love me and that we belong together. Shoulder deep within the borderline. Relax. Turn around and take my hand. Obviously about the desensitization of people and the media. Towards .....well....everything.

50 cent is also an amazing rapper, its just his latest album is trash and marketed towards the teeny bop population. Rappers put their best effort in their initial album and what they put on underground mixtapes. What counts to them and the rap community is the stuff they put on their underground tapes, not what they put in big name stores. Thats whats for the general public. Most of the general public that has heard 50's albums have never heard his underground songs, which there are probably 150 of, give or take. The best rap is on the underground mixtapes, or on the rap satellite radio stations. And to sit here and say rap is garbage is simply ignorant. People are a product of their enviroment, and people that listen to rap appreciate it for the skill it takes and the language used because of the enviroment they were raised in (Not the teeny bop shit on MTV and the radio). How many people in the ghetto you think listen to metallica? Are they correct if they say its garbage because they were never exposed to it, or dont particularly care for it? Do you really think that because you dont understand whats behind the music, and the whole genre, that its crap? Some people like country, rock, R&B, blues, techno, etc. I personally dont listen to any of these, nor do I enjoy hearing any of it, but who am I to say they are crap? www.mixtapes.com www.mixtapedownloadsonline.com www.pcutta.com (battle rap series of mixtapes from a DJ in my area)

The gangster-'fuck da police' scene was appealing and unique back in the days of N.W.A., because it was never heard of prior to then, but now, it's just getting old, repetitive, and annoying.
