You can prepare it anyway you want, like some of the people here described (hard boiled, scrambled, chopped). You can just drop an egg into boiling water and let it cook until the egg whites turn solid. That's what I do and it's awesome =).

Also, I see the Shin-Ramen has beef in it~ -_- I'm Hindu and we don't eat beef AT ALL. Is it the overall spicy Shin ramen meal that is good or is it just the noodles itself?
On second thought... my mom goes to a chineese shop once in a while. It might have these better ramen you guys are talking about but I'm not sure because my mom just buy those preserved fruits ( like red mango, peach, salt prunes etc.)

I'm greedy with the eggs. 1 egg in the broth to make it creamy and yummy. Then 1 whole egg, partially cooking so that the middle is still creamy and gooey.

im enjoying some Leebaikyang (Samyang Foods) now. although not as red as Shin Ramyun, it still has a nice heat. The only way you could get top ramen to be this thick is if you boiled it into oblivion. I had some different type of ramen that was more like wonton noodles (from Kamfen) in chinese cooking the other night.
Some other ramen types i have here that i plan to try are
Su' Tah' Ramen (also Samyang) Demae Ramen (Nissin)

excellent thread, uhjoo's recipe (in the 1st page) will be most appreciated in a few months when camping in the forest. instead of adding tuna, i prefer chinese bbq pork though its not as readily available as "chicken from the sea" in a can.
for some reason ramen is the perfect snack in front of a campfire on a cold night. though smoking heavily beforehand will make nearly anything a perfect snack. go figure

cha siew? muawhwahawa yea we put this is on ramen too or if we get duck we put that in

why are all these old threads being dug up?

I love this thread. Been reading it for 2 years...
Ho Ho Ho..

ahh bump the gd old ramen thread
nissen demae ramen is very ordinary with no special characteristics but is extremely popular (at least in hong kong...) because it is cheap and generally tasty, with lots of different flavours. I prefer the original flavour (sesame oil) and adding stuff like egg to the soup base or sausage + fried egg for breakfast/lunch ramen ^^

1/3 cup chopped broccoli 1/3 cup carrots, julienned 1/3 cup red peppers, julienned 1 package ramen (vegetable flavor), broken into 4 pieces 1 tablespoon olive oil
1. Fill a 2-quart saucepan with 3 cups water and bring to a boil. 2. Add broccoli and carrots to water; cook for 3 minutes. 3. Add the peppers and raw noodles; cook for an additional 3 minutes. 4. Drain mixture; toss with oil and seasoning packet.
Just had this, a MUST try. Just to save time though chop the veggies yourself.

been opening can of tuna.. putting it into bowl then putting a slice of swiss over the tuna and microwaving it.. once melted then i put a little bell pepper on it.. i then cook the chicken ramen like normal with the boiling water.. i then put the noodles on top the tuna and swiss.. add the packet of powder.. mix it all up... kind of tastes like tuna tetra :D:D:D
