Conjoined twins have been born in Brazil with two heads, two functioning brains and two backbones - but a single heart.
However there have been other known cases, notably Abigail and Brittany Hensel who were born in the US in 1990. They aim to live as normal a life as possible, even taking their driving test when they were 16.
Doctors say separating the twins, named Jesus and Emanuel, is not currently an option because there is only one set of organs, Reuters reports.
dicephalic parapagus affected around one in 100,000 pregnancies, but that around half do not reach full-term.

This is crazy to me, being a twin myself I can't even imagine if this had happened to me. Apparently the twins Abigail and Brittany Hensel both control half of their body. Think about the coordination that takes. I know my brother and I my understand each other more than most people (because we've always been together) but still. They Hensel twins also differ in the fact that they are known to have two of certain organs such as the heart.

On a serious note though, I hope that it doesn't subject them to a life of bullying and abuse. I also hope that they will have a way of moving easily seeing as they control half of the body each :S

I have two younger brothers that are twins, there's always a special bond between multiples but those conjoined take it to a whole other level. I'll have to keep an eye out for the eventual documentary.
