Surprised I don't see enough people protesting this, instead they are just asking stupid questions.
This is a fucking disgrace. These people do not have the right to force these two lives to live in hell like this because of selfish wants. There should have been an abortion. I will feel so bad if they live past 2 years. No one should have to go through that.
It's a tragedy, I know, but at this point the children's lives demand more rights than the parents. Shit happens.
I really hope they live a long and happy life together, but as an older brother, it immediately called to mind "stop hitting yourself". Especially if they both had some control over their entire body. Immature, I know, but still, imagine how annoying it would be to have your own fist punch your face out of nowhere.

Did you even read the story? The mother didn't even know their condition until they were born because she never went in for checkups. Even still why do you assume that they will hate life?

So you're saying that they should die? I think it's better if they have a choice in the matter. There's quite a few siamese twins that live out life. Not normally obviously, but they aren't in the depths of despair because of their condition or anything.

Are you really using the irresponsibility of the mother as justification for this? Rhetoric question by the way.
Also to add to your ignorance, I said, should have been an abortion. I wasn't questioning why there wasn't one.
I would be extremely interested to see the circulatory system for the baby. Having only one heart leads to the assumption that they have extra bood vessels including the carotid artery. I would like to know If they have 2 aortas or just extra branches from 1 aorta. This is a very interesting case! Unfortunately, as strong as the heart is, it's not meant to pump enough blood to supply a whole second brain. It would put a lot of strain on the heart I think. This is why a lot of babies with congenital defects like these often experience heart complications. Poor little thing I wish it all the best.

I guess if you want to play around with semantics you claim that you weren't question why there wasn't one. I'm not using the "ignorance of the mother to justify this" because it doesn't need to be justified. For the record I am pro choice not pro life but I don't see a reason for these two to have been aborted if their mother wanted to keep them. You have this awful mindset that their life is going to only be pain when you really can't predict such a thing now. No one is saying they are going to have an easy of wonderful life but you don't have to assume that they will have an awful one either.

I agree that it is kinda fucked up, but people make the best of their lives
Did they not know this or did they just choose not to abort or fix it (if possible) while they're still an embryo or did they not choose to ultrasound at all so they didn't know this was coming? (if the latter, wow that must be a nightmare xD)
I hope they can live as normal a life as possible =/
@MidKnight
Interesting though the one with the slightly more tilted head must be jealous xD haha seems like they like each other (or is that just the vid trying to make us think that)
At least they don't hate each other. And that's strange, they both have their own set of organs o.o good thing their body has enough space.
Edit:
Hmm even in the OP it seems that the left head is slightly more tilted (or off to the side) than the other. Why is that?

The mother makes a good point in this video, from the moment that abortion is not an option, imagine what their lives would have been if they had been separated, living with half a body and stuff, plus it wasnt even sure they would survive. They seem to live a kinda normal life (or as much as it is possible given their condition).
Dunno, at me it looks better than living you life in a wheelchair with half a body, not being able to do anything.

Agree, think of how dangerous separating them would be, no matter how much you want it. You are literally cutting someone in half, and hoping the bleeding stops! How would it? And they only have their own set of organs waste up... one of them wouldn't have genitalia and like they said, they only have 1 bladder. Perhaps they were a bit misleading about them not wanting to separate -- it seems like it was impossible to separate.
Anyway it seems like they're not having that bad of a time lol. They work together really well. I guess when you're born that way, and especially because you experience all the same things, you are alike in many ways and it is much more different a life than what most of us may imagine: 2 random people sharing 1 body.

That short video on the two girls seems to indicate it's possible to function fairly normally. No major 'disability' that they haven't overcome together. Internal organ stuff seems to be different between them and the newborns, but there's certainly hope for the little guys. Bet they'll be beast at playing I Spy, and Waldo doesn't stand a chance.

It's different than what we're used to, kill it without learning about it! /human nature

Jesus is not an uncommon Hispanic/Portuguese name. I've known a few people named Jesus. Emanuel is another biblical name. In any case, I don't see what the wtf is about.

Ah ok good. Cus here in the USA if someone were named Jesus, or even Emanuel, he or she would attract even more attention especially if it's a pair of twins with 1 body xD
Btw what happens to the other half of the 100,000 pregnancies? Do the embryos/fetuses just die in the womb?
