he had no chance. i heard an interview where Raszi said he let Elky hit him twice full in the face and he didnt even feel the punshes. after that it was just time untill his guard would drop down.
Seemed to me like Elky was winning until he got completely gassed a little after the 6 minute mark. After that, it slowly went more and more downhill. You could tell he got a bit of a second wind at the start of the second round but its effect didn't last long.

? Never got that impression, felt like all elkys attacks almost were well defended and lex got a lot more clean hits.
Poker players bets always amaze me. 50k for a kickboxing fight when obviously none of them trained seriously at any point in their life beforehand just seems odd to me.
I know it's their money and they can do whatever they want with it, but they're basically risking their health for a stupid bet. Correct me if I'm wrong but since they're not professionals, isn't the risk of injury way higher because they don't have the technique to defend themselves properly? Or is it the other way around cause they don't hit hard enough?
Anyway, I guess they have big balls and everything but it just shows they have no idea what to do with their money. IMHO, give that 50k to someone who really needs it, or invest it for when poker won't pay like it does now.
Are two guys good friends who just decided to make a bet like this or was this some kind of grudge match? The fight was closer than I thought it'd be lol, although elky took some tough hits to the face before KO, pretty ugly stuff lol.
Elky tried to slug it out and gassed in the process, he didn't throw a single kick and his punching technique was quite ugly, fought like it was a streetfight, I think pressure kinda got to his head. Raszi was superior technically and strategically. At first it could look like he was dominatedbut but he was just patient, waiting for Elky to gas and for an opportunity to connect.
To people that feel they're throwing money away, or want to fight them for 50k because they feel they're better, I want to say this. These guys know each other through and through. They know they aren't fighting professionals. They know they are fighting each other. And if you make a lot of these bets, in the end variance will even it all out, and you end up with the same amount of money that you started with. They just make these bets to motivate themselves, and to have fun. In the end it has only cost them the money they spent on training and equipment (which may still be a lot). Lots of respect to both of them for even trying this. And yeah, you may be better at boxing, but those guys will be smart enough not to fight you for 50k if you're way better than them.
