I can tell you about our gypsies. The communist state build them homes and mixed them with the other citizens so they can't segregate. They destroyed their homes, sold them and created ghettos again! This happened in the early 90's.

Last year, in the city of Yambol, the city governer decided to destroy on the the blocks populated by the gypsies. It was almost completely ruined and dangerous for them. So they decided to start destroying the block by themselves so they can get the iron and sell it. They almost killed one little gypsy because a porch collapsed and hit her. See the video:

Like that part about the armed gypsies - well that happens only during protest and tbh they were provoced because the protesters where shouting "gypsies to soap" (and other really offensive stuff) but the police didn't stop any of the both meetings by force.

That's misleding. Last year in Ihtiman there was a gypsy who said infront of the cameras "All bulgarians deserve to die!". In the last years there are several cases when gypsies destry the bulgarian national flag. In one of them a policeman was sued by the state because he protected the flag. This year 3 gypsies were arestted in Sofia because they hanged a dog and used the bulgarian flag as a rope!

The rapes and murders part - that happens from time to time but the way he wrote it suggests its a common thing, but it isn't (still happens way too often for the time we are living)

This happenes almost every single day, but the pc media hide it. They do brutal things, like 3 gypsies killed their teacher in the village of Litakovo. The leader killed her, raped her anal and vaginal and cut her body in peaces with a knife. He took 6 leva (like 3 eu) or smth like this and went to his friends bday like nothing happened. He was sentenced for 19 years for this brutal murder (not even a life sentence!). The two other gypsies who participated in this brutal murder were not found guilty, but just witnesses(wtf?!).

I can give you so many examples mate. This happens every single day.

Also, do you remember the gypsy riots in Sofia in Krasna polyana in 2007. There were no bulgarians shouting anything, just rumours that someone was attacking them.

They were all armed, attacked bulgarians and the bulgarian police, killed a proffesor form the Sofia university and noone was arrested...

The solution is one law for us all. All of the citizens should have one and the same obligations. And if someone commits crime, he/she must be punished by the state and not get away with it only because they are of a certain race/ethnic group. We want nothing more.

Wow, just wow... I wonder what the average age/average education level most of the people posting here have.

You are even worse about "gypsies" than my fellow fascist swedes, who blame EVERYTHING on the muslims. "they sell their daughters, steal, murder, rape, give birth to 10 babies, doesn't go to school" are you mentally ill? Stop blaming shit on people and take responsibility for your own life. In other words grow the f*** up!

You can't call racist things which are true. I don't blame only the gypsies, but the state who let them do such things and threats them as masters, because they need and buy their votes during elections.

So is this racist and imaginary? - http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=109205
So isn't this child abuse? 11 years old mother.

p.s. I'm a phd, anything to say about my education?

Here - watch this documentary video about Varna's gypsy ghetto called "Maksuda" -

It's in bulgarian, but just watch it. You will see views from the gypsy ghetto. It is situated in the centre of the city and they cant remove it, although its completely illegal.

Does anyone know the song name at around 2 minutes?

Also if all the laws in bulgaria that you guys talk about which protects the gypsies from getting punished for their crimes are true then that's horrible, I know some people from Bulgaria / Romania because of gaming and it seems like they dislike them very much aswell because they can do whatever they want but no one can do anything about it because they are protected.

A classic liberal "I look down on everyone statement". Why do you care so much about other peoples opinions? If you disagree so strongly with them, just ignore them. Dont call them stupid an look down on them as it will make you look like a tit.

Tbh I think it's better to grow up in an idillic world where they teach you love and peace rather than being born to reactionary parents
So don't throw hate on kids that are shocked to learn social problems exist.

Somehow it was, but these problems are born back then (in my opinion). It's because the communist settled down this ethic group by force. They were forced to drop their nomad way of life and become citizens. Also they started to use the healthcare, so their population increased from 20-30k in the 1930s, to I don't know maybe 200-300 k in the end of the communist regime. But it was a total state, a totalitaric state, and they were forced to work for it, which was not a bad thing, because it gave them jobs. But as I said, they tried to make them a part of the socialistic nation, by giving them houses and desegregating them, but the whole social experiment failed.

The situation is pretty much the same here. I don't think the "social experiment" was BOUND to fail, rather it was INTERRUPTED in progress. If the rule of equal rights and duties lasted longer who knows maybe their nation would experience some fundamental changes.

Yeah, I suppose. But noone will ever know. Sorry if I'm too emotional in my writings, but it's very depressing when you see and live with the injustice. That's why thousands of young people were on the streets last week.

As far as i know they are not protected by law in my country ( Romania ) more then any other criminal, its just that the law system here is so flawed that many criminals go without being arrested or even caught for crimes that are less then killing someone/stealing a large sum of money ( large around the lines of 20k $ + id say... which is kinda high over here... enough money for a family of 4 to live of for a few years even ) and the gypsies are usually the ones committing that kinda of "small" crimes such as stealing from a store/beating someone and/or taking his wallet...etc
So (at least here ) is not the law is the fact that we have a bad justice system which has EU style punishments and therefor most of the kids stealing can't even be jailed for more then few months and most of the adults for more then 1-2 years... which is not enough to convince them not to steal again considering how rarely it happens for them to be caught.

Bulgarians have it worst tho...

The most common complaint from gypsy side in my country is "there are nowhere to work", "we steal because there are no jobs". Which is partially true, because it's hard to find a decent job, but there are a few things to note:
- A good portion of grown up gypsies are analphabets, or haven't completed elementary school yet (we are in 2011, Middle-Eastern Europe). How do you suppose to give them any kind of work like this? You could say "they should work on the fields and do agricultural jobs"
- Here's the next thing, they refuse to take jobs with low salary, because they get more from being on welfare (this is true, sadly).
- A whole generation after the socialism (after 1989) grew up with absolutely NO work ethic, NO work experience and NO willingness to work (why would they, if they can live off from welfare?).

In this situation, you can't possibly give them an offer that they'll take without being positively discriminative to us, hungarians. So you either have to butcher the welfare system, and force them to take low (still above minimum wage) salary jobs, or..I don't know. I don't see any other solution to this. You may think, "changes have to start somewhere, so why not start in the lowest levels, namely kindergarten and elementary school? Well, this is a good point, and this is exactly what we are trying to do, but with relative mild success. Why? Because you can't possibly "transform" the behavior of a child who comes from a family where they don't even use toilets or wash hands after using the toilet (this is true again, sadly). Needless to say, if the whole class consists of gypsies, you have absolutely no hope to change them. So, today the majority of the population of eastern hungarian villages are gpysy. The hungarians are fleeing to the larger cities, so there are more and more "ghost" villages are being created, where almost all the population are gypsy, with more than 90% of them having absolutely no job and living off solely from the welfare system. This is the sad truth in this country.

Many Gypsies dont have regular jobs, are involved in crime etc. We find them to be somewhat repulsive because of their life style.
But the reality is, that the actual damage they do is relatively limited. That is because they are mainly involved in small crimes.
The common mafia organisations, like Russian, Albanian, Italian, Serbian etc mafias do much, much more damage. Its not even comparible. Yet we dont see riots and attacks against the mafia and other criminal organisations like rocker gangs etc. Why is that? Well for one they look more pleasant. But the main reason is, that people know that these criminals are actually dangerous in contrast to gypsies for example. So the problem of the gypsies is, that they are actually not that dangerous and well armed like common criminal gangs. If they were, they would no be attacked.

Lets face it, the whole gypsie hate / fear is more an emotional than a rational thing. Hack, I bet Bernie Madoff alone stole more money than all gypsies combined.
