Realizing this, and by the end of the series DB GT, Krillin could wipe the floor with Superman. Superman Prime or Dr. Manhattan can take your whole DBZ universe fighters one vs everyone and still they wont do shit against them. Immortal means they cant die and noone is immortal from DBZ . No matter how much their power lvl they will still lose in the end. Seriously some ppl need to use the part of their brain that uses logic sometimes.
EXACTLY, thank you lol

Do cosmics count? Living Tribunal if you exclude TOAA.

by the way
goku isn't close to gohan until GT and that's only because Gohan pretty much stopped his training. The strongest character in DBGT is probably Omega Shenron because iirc Goku has to use a universal spirit bomb or something to defeat the dragon goku later surpassed mystic gohan in ss3 form in one of the movies i think, but during buu saga yeah he was stronger

That is true if you pertain only to the DBZ universe but if it is the entirety of the Dragon Ball Universe Goku becomes an immortal, the dragon god, at the end of the GT series.
So replying to another post in this thread, yup Goku was weaker still than Omega Shenron but after defeating him, he became in essense, the new shenron/dragon god so in effect the most powerful in the whole Dragon Ball universe, from the original kid goku series, to Z to GT. =)

I'm enjoying this thread but it does amuse me when people who are arguing about the relative power of imaginary characters are demanding others use their logic
For me, I'll take Sandman. None of y'all can beat him.

Wouldn't Thor be strongest? Isn't he an immortal god?

Most of the super s class comic book heroes are far beyond any dbz character- super strength / energy/concussive blasts is just a small part of these guys' powersets. Without some form of reality warping on the cosmic scale you can't compete with the big guns in marvel and to a lesser extent dc.
Hell pret-retconned beyonder/molecule man can make/unmake the universe on a whim.

Realizing this, and by the end of the series DB GT, Krillin could wipe the floor with Superman. Vegeta never said that Goku was moving faster than the speed of light, and that scene where Goku is moving so fast we can't see it is filler, meaning it was only in the anime, not the manga. That makes it non-canon.

If they're all immortal then logically they're all equal because they can't die. So hypothetically if they got into a fight with eachother the fight would never end.
You could argue and say that one was "winning" the fight in that he was landing more hits, but it still wouldn't matter because you can't kill something that immortal right?
It's like trying to argue that 1 is > 1 or as Boxer put it T>T

Goku vs supermanprime
Supermanprime punches reality and reshapes it to his will. In the new reality there is no goku.
Supermanprime wins
Goku vs dr manhattan. Goku is now cotton candy. Not "made of cotton candy" he is simply cotton candy.
Dr manhattan wins.
Reality shapers > all
Even immortal beings can be reshaped.

There's quite a few villains/heroes that basically have the powers of a god. But only one of them has the balls to walk around butt naked and still kick ass.

Was it the English (either Funimation or Ocean Dub) dub? If so, it was most likely a translation error. I don't recall Vegeta ever saying that Goku was "faster than the speed of light."

The problem with that is, Vegeta can blow up Earth in the Saiyan saga, but by the Buu saga, even when their most powerful attacks hit the Earth, the Earth doesn't explode. Powers were scaled back later on Buu saga, their powers were basically retconned into being less destructive. It counts for speed, strength (Base Goku can't lift 40 tons in the Buu saga) and their destructive force.
