I dont see how "better" stuff decreases hangover symptoms. Dehydration is dehydration, I can buy grey goose or I can buy BOSS, drinking either wont change a thing. If you dont want a hangover stay away from caffiene and sugary beverages. In the end, as long as you drink alot of water it just wont be as bad.
Better stuff has less higher order alcohols in it, but you pay more of course.

As far as food goes, anything of high calorie intake works for me. But the most important thing is to drink water. For everyone. Hell, I even happened to avoid hangover altogether by drinking more than half a litre of water before going to sleep in a position where I would have a killer hangover otherwise. Also, wise drinking (read: mixing properly if at all) helps. I can say that I hadn't had a major hangover since I was 18.

To make things simple: It's not alcohol itself that causes dehydration, but mostly aldehydes in it. The better distilled the liquor is, the less aldehydes it contains (in the case of strong alcohols, e.g. whiskey, vodka etc.) Fun fact: Aldehydes also cause the"fire" in your throat when you drink. A truly pure alcohol (96.6%) should taste almost like water.
Liter of water, pot of coffee, and scrambled eggs. Usually I just go to the local Dennys, get a coffee, eggs and toast, and just have them keep the coffee and water coming.

is that for everybody or just danmooj?
We'll see lol.
I don't get what you're trying to get at. Most of the time I just stick with my soju and beer. I'm assuming you're trying to tell me you can afford expensive alcohol?

Drink lots of water. Like a gallon. It gets rid of the headache. Do not take medication to alleviate your headache, because drinking + pills in such a short time takes a serious toll on your liver.
Yes do this. You basically piss the poison out of your system.
Also inducing vomiting can make you feel better.
Thats not true at all. The reason why your head ache goes away is because you stop being dehydrated (the reason why you have head ache, not enough water for your krebs cycle).
Cook some pasta (spaghetti). When its ten minutes from done start chopping 1-1.5 cloves/pieces of a large garlic. Chop finely. Throw into frying pan with oil and margerine and whatever the fuck else you wanna eat today. Cook until garlic is caramelized. Make sure to throw the strained pasta INTO the cooking garlic, mix, eat.
Nothing like carbs fat and garlic/baconsausaugetomatoparmesiancheese ....

i laughed so hard at this
when i'm hung over - i usually eat saltine crackers and drink lots of water. i absolutely hate being hung over (who likes it?) so i try to avoid it at all costs, though
Encebollados (Ecuador) The base of this seafood soup is called Sofrito and is a pungent mix of Tomatoes, Onions, Cumin, Chili and Cilantro (coriander). The protein element and foundation for the stock is Tuna. The starch element is Yuca a starchy root vegetable that requires time to cook down the coarse threads found within its stalk. The result is a delicious aromatic savory and spicy soup that is traditionally topped with pickled onions and tomatoes. ENJOY IT!! you'll feel like a new man.
I'm sure it's been said by now, but you get a hangover because you are dehydrated. Therefore, I always make sure to drink a ton of water before I go to bed. I generally force it down even if I'm not very thirsty. I always drink water throughout the night because I eventually get so drunk that I can barely function to get myself water. I've also found that eating a ton of greasy food somehow settles your stomach to make you feel better after you've drank a lot (the night of). The greasier the better really. Anywho, cheers!
I give myself another tatoo somerwhere on my body, with the statement "i will never drink again". The "pain" and concentration it takes, usually does it. Also the thought of never being hungover again helps. That thought disappears in the evening though :D
I get a massive bottle/glass, fill it with ice, and then water. Keep skolling water, refilling as you go with ice/water, because it tastes delicious. Vomit from having so much liquid ingested. Repeat as necessary. Enjoy the magical disappearance of the hangover!
