If it was all about his despicable ideals, why would he care so much about portraying himself, even editing the background of those pictures out. He seems to be a highly conceited person who is longing for control and power over others, much like some sort of ruler. Also what's with alll the knights in his video especially just before his uniformed profile pictures? This is all too obviously a self-dramatization in which he tries to exalt himself to some kind of modern savior which leads me to believe that his ideals are a mere excuse to justifying his execution of power over others in his otherwise meaningless life. Copy pasting in his manifest and the sheer amount of pages written also is a hint that he isn't into this as much as he pretends to be, but rather tries to make his motives believable and himself to appear more intelligent and foresighted. Obviously the media is an important factor in this matter. They provided him with his ostensive ideals and will enable him to once more show the world how powerful and chivalrous he truly is. I also don't buy this planned for 9 years story. Quite possibly it was a chain of events and opportunities that led him to his drastic measures and then he subsequently made up this whole story to not have to admit to himself that he is just a sick fuck who likes to kill people. Seriously, if it was all for his manifest and he still had respected human life, why would he yell of excitement after each kill as some witness has reported? Also, while hearing some expert on german television talking about playing killergames like WoW being a possible indicator, the only real indicator here and in other cases is the strong affinity and easy access to guns. | ||

What I think is that he needed to blame someone else for his deep emotional distress, probably to be able to live with it. He did this by constructing a self image and system of justifications where this murderous energy is seen as "necessary" and "heroic", taking inspiration from the right wing extremism. He would rather murder people than admit to himself that he is seriously disturbed and deflate his inflated sense of self. | ||

They? It's the largest forum in scandinavia, with all subjects allowed. Of course there is some that uses that to discuss. Compared to the number of members they are a very small click, but they are very active. The forums they are active in is some of the smallest ones on the website. | ||

If he was really as smart or articulate as people give him credit for being (or he himself gives himself credit for), then he wouldn't need such a disgusting public spectacle. Not only is this guy sick in the head, he's also a complete idiot. This is about 1000 times more idiotic than going in front of the Oslo state buildings and yelling "guys, LISTEN TO ME! I have an idea!!!" Sorry to all of the families, it is a true tragedy of the imperfections of human pride.. However, Norway's response has been a triumph of human spirit. I'm not looking forward to today's court case, I predict more idiocy coming from his mouth. I seriously doubt he'll even be able to present his "reasons" without a big smile on his face from his sick pride in his actions. | ||

The best way to avenge this horrible event is to give him a standard trial. It's expected that he will first get 21 years, but with forvaring, which means he will be kept in prison for as long as he is considered a threat to society. | ||
