Then play by the player. There's a suprising amount of strtegy behind it, but it's almost all from a psycological basis. my rock-paper-scissors guide

If all materials in the world consist of at least 99% empty space, how come they look so solid to us? Light photons coming from the other side of a table eg should have a large chance to get through, or at least some would? And if we bang into something, do the two matters overlap for a small part the split second we collide? All materials are more than 99% empty. They appear solid to us because "solid" is just a perceptual tool our brain uses to represent things we cannot pass through. Photons of certain wavelengths coming from the other side of a table can and do pass through it. Glass is transparent to us because it allows the photons of visible light to pass through (in a sense at least). You are also thinking of molecules as extremely static. Keep in mind that the electron is not in an orbit in the same sense as a planet. It's is usually found in a certain area, called a cloud. The term "electron orbital" is actually slightly misleading as the electron is not travelling in anything resembling a circular path; it is rather an area where the electron spends 99% of its time. Within that cloud the electron is flying around at close to the speed of light. A photon may be able to pass through a single atom, but what are the odds that it will get through 10321032189128743834838723845783457 atoms? A thin sheet of the material the table is made of will allow some light to shine through, after all. It is also a mistake to think of light as simply photons. It is also a wave. Photons of light are absorbed because their energy corresponds to the energy required to promote an electron to a higher energy orbital. Sometimes, the energy of the photon simply does not match the energy needed to promote the electron and it is not absorbed. Otherwise, an atom will absorb the photon and reemit the energy. If you're asking if the nuclei of the atoms in your hand and a table ever touch, the answer is no. Electrostatic repulsion prevents that from ever happening under normal circumstances. Forcing nuclei together is very difficult (think H-Bomb).

Intense emotions are difficult to distinguish. For example, physiologically there is no way to discren "fear" from "love." Studies repeatedly show if you put a subject in a situation in which they are afraid or uncomfortable, they are more likely to be attracted to others. In a way, eliciting some sort of emotional response may be more important than the emotional response you elicit. It may not be that women prefer assholes, just that they don't prefer people who make them feel safe and comfortable. Many girls mistake cockyness for self confidence, too.
