As people already have said, salt was never a luxury reserved for the privileged, it was expensive yes, but was used by all for conservation and as the only spice we had in Europe. Sugar on the other hand was very expensive and reserved for the nobles and rich for a long time. The sugar that came back from the colonies was not affordable for the farmers and villagers. That all changed during the napoleon war. Great Britain embargoed France and made it impossible for France to import sugar from the colonies, so Napoleon ordered his farmers to plant sugar beets. Ways to extract sugar from sugar beets was discovered just prior to the war. The production of sugar beets exploded because of that and within 20 years it was all over Europe as one of the biggest crops. So blame Napoleon for the sugar linklink 2 Do you guys know these things or do you just look them up because the question interests you? History interests me, so I read a lot. Got 2 books about Napoleon and the Napoleon wars, and 1 about France from the medieval to now. The sugar thing is pretty big in those If you want a good history book from a similar time period, I would recommend Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose, which is an account of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Insanely interesting read.

If you drop a loaded gun to the ground while standing, are there any possibilities that the trigger goes off from the impact?

Definitely, though I think this is more common with long guns than handguns. The Sten machine gun used by the Allies in WW2 was infamous for going off when dropped.

Highly dependend on the gun, there are some that are very likely to fire when droped and some where it is near impossible to happen cause they got mechanism to prevent this. Also, you can modify weapons to heavily. I only know this from pistols, but I was on the shooting range once where one set his trigger to be very sensitive. It was rather cold and he might overdid it but I could have sworn that it was an fully automatic pistol from the frequency of the shots. I bet that this pistol would have shot not only when you drop it, but basicly from everything else :D. The face of the guy was just hilarious, he shot his whole magazine without even knowiung what happened.

Have you heard of U.N.K.L.E? They seem to get labeled as alternative rock, sometimes trip-hop. Dont think you can pidgeon hole them that easily though. Be there is a great song with the vocals done by The Stones Roses` Ian Brown. Their album Psyence Fiction I really like, came out in the late 90's.
Their song Mayday, is a real get up and go piece, was in one of the GTA games.
Dont know if this is what you meant, but I listened to those songs and thought of UNKLE. Maybe I'm way off the mark here though!

is mining bitcoins a good investment?
|
It was at the start, not so much now (debatable) Bitcoins are more difficult to mine over time as an intended feature of the system. I think (note the word think!) You'd have to throw significant amount of CPU or GPU power into mining a large amount these days.

Grinding on a girl and you get a boner. What is the standard move here? Can I keep grinding letting her rub and feel that I have a boner, or try to hide it?

Social custom dictates that you must invert your boner and become a girl. You have to stay that way until you are ground upon by a man who gets a boner, then he becomes the girl and you can return.

I think its safe if you let her come to the boner but don't go throwing your boner around too much in general

You wouldn't want to do yourself an injury. Just let her do whatever she wants to do and try not to break the link until it settles down. If she acts all shocked by it, she's probably a lesbian.

Lesbians tend to know how boners work....

How come there isn't a MOBA that bases its money-making strategy off providing a reliably good community with no trolls? Even if they charged subscription, I'd sign up for such a thing, given how nearly every other game of dota I run into trolls. It just seems like there's enough scum, that providing a good place to play would be marketable.

You found a gap. Now build your Moba and watch the money roll in!

Define trolls for me? It's really rare for me to run into someone who actually detracts from the experience on my team in DotA in significant way, and even then it's quickly solved with a mute. Maybe a few comments here or there are sort of commonplace, but what are you going to do, ban anyone who makes any negative comment ever?
