try and find a whore thou, not for your brother, but for the other 15 guys, she will make good money and after 3 days of foresting-paintballing and drinking everybody needs a chin to aim at!
If you are going to go this route, you should get 3 or so... Imagine being #15 on that list......
Edit: It is a matter of preference. Most women will not have a problem with a stripper, but they won't agree to it either. If a stripper shows up at a bachelor party that is not hosted by the groom, and the bride gets that mad over it, their relationship is rocky at best.
When I get married, I would not want a stripper for me (as the groom) but I would not be mad if there were strippers for my friends n such. How often do you hang out with your brother?

I havent been to a bachelor party, but I will have to soon. My best friend is getting married and we likely will not be having a stripper at the party, his girlfriend would kill him and us if we did. I would like to assume no one would tell her what happened at the party but things always have a way of getting out...

Check with your brother first... If he's ok with it, then by all means go ahead.
|
The only correct answer is to ask your brother. Random people on TL don't know what kind of guy he is and what kind of person his fiancee is, the only two factors that matter.
|
I have been to several bachelor parties, including my own. None involved strippers. All of them were a really good time.
If you need a stripper to have a good time with your bros, you got problems. Think of the really fun things you like to do, and go do them on your bachelor party. Don't be forced into getting a stripper just because hollywood says you should.

Before you ask your brother, consider this: if you don't ask him and you get one, he is then "innocent" in the sense that he can't really be blamed by the bride for having a stripper at his bachelor party. If you do ask him and he wants one, then his wife would have reason to be more pissed (though I would hope she wouldn't get pissed, I mean really?).

My friend got married not too long ago and for his bachelor party, we lan'd broodwar. Beat that. Also, when we were done with that *gasp* ya.. we had to move on after the games got to be so epic.. We lan'd some oldschool Quake 1. Or was it doom 1? lol, w/e. It was fun.
Your brother is already engaged.. he's already "lost his freedom." Getting strippers is just dumb :/

True.
I'm all for strippers that don't smell and are actually cute.
Don't tell. If at the end of three days of drinking and stinking and paint balling and ball and chain jokes, if he doesn't want a girl to grind of his cock then he has no business getting married in the first place!
Jk, but seriously at the end he like any good man about to be lost to marriage deserves a hilarious and fun experience that is 100% not his fault.

snorting coke off a hooker's ass is a real bonding experience between friends

strippers cant hurt as long as your brother is down

It all depends how great the invited people are at keeping secrets. There's 3 levels, 1, Very trustworthy: Invite some whores. 2, Kinda trustworthy: Invite some strippers. 3, Not trustworthy: Uninvite them.
1 is something most people frown upon, but i don't really care. 2 is a normal thing thou, but it still sucks when the wives/gfs finds out.

This is the post I wish I had made.

Absolutely not. -With experience.
Doesn't matter what his "opinion" is. It's wrong. It's cheating/adultery, and will harm their relationship.
Don't hide things from your wives, unless you want a shallow relationship.

I think strippers are stupid. they are either way of blueballing yourself, or they should be called prostitutes. if they are prostitutes then I understand the purpose of them, but prostitutes should not be part of a bachelor party, at least not for the benefit of your brother.

On a side matter, I never understand what people see in strippers.
I mean you have a really hot (hopefully) girl get nude or almost nude, rub up against you for a prolonged amount of time and then ehm... NOT get laid? Like, are you serious? Especially if drunk (or if you haven't gotten lucky in like two months or something crazy) that's gotta be seriously painful.
How is that a good time? Seriously me no comprende.
But yeah, like I posted earlier, I wouldn't be paricularly happy if my wife to be had a male stripper rub his disco stick up in her face, so I can definitely see the girls getting butthurt about that. And if I were ever to marry a girl, then I would assume I were actually in love with her, and would never want to hurt her. No strippers for me. Can't see the positive side.

This is something I've never understood. If the stereotypical Hollywood bachelor party ("yeah strippers, get it now while you can bro!!") is the sort of thing you're interested in, why the hell are you getting married? Not being interested in chasing random tail anymore is sort of the whole reason he proposed to his future wife, I would think. If you had a friend who was engaged, would you take him to a strip club for his birthday with some of his other friends? No, that would be absurdly inappropriate... How is this different? Anyway, that's just my point of view. And yes, I speak from experience. At mine, for example, we rented out a pool hall and cheerfully ransacked their bar, and everyone had a great time.
It's a party with your friends. Do whatever you and your friends do to have fun. Not a complicated concept.
But as you say, this is very situational. If he wouldn't be 100% on board with it, absofuckinglutely not. If he is 100% on board with it, it's your call whether or not you want to, and on top of that it's your responsibility to make sure the rest of the party would be down with it as well. If you're planning this, your goal is to make sure everyone (especially him) has an awesome time. That is all. How his future wife feels about things is between him and her, and it's his responsibility to keep that in mind.
tl;dr: I cannot fathom why someone would both want to get married and want to hire a stripper at the same time, but that's just me. It's his responsibility to handle how his fiancee would feel. It's your responsibility to make sure that nobody has a shitty night.

posting without any experience
28 yrs old, lake house, 15 guys, yea I would definitely get strippers. Hopefully you're all old enough to have a little fun and not guilt trip over it and start telling anyone about what happened.

Not everyone gets married to "give up", some just do it for the tax breaks

I seriously don't get this whole: "YOU NEED TO GET A STRIPPER!!!" and "A bachelor party without a stripper is NOT a bachelor party..." and "I thought strippers were pretty common in bachelor parties..."
What's so "awesome" about oogling at a random naked girl lapdancing in front of you? You'll never get to sleep with her...You will at best get to touch her and she will most likely be highly disgusted of you anyway. Just go watch porn and save yourself the humiliation. IMHO, going to strip clubs or hiring strippers is the most beta thing any man can do. You are essentially window shopping a woman's body. So close yet so far...No thanks. Not for me.
That being said, this whole debate is useless as it really just depends on the bride and groom. What does he think and what would she say? Seriously OP, you can't decide without at least having an inkling of what the couple would think about all this. You guys are going there for 3 days...best option is to randomly bring up the idea of going to a strip club at some point and see how the groom reacts to this. Yay or nay?

You know your brother best. The party is about him, if he'd be down with it, then by all means do it!
