Because sex and love are different things. You watch porn because it is arousing, not because you're in love with the porn star. I love my girlfriend like there is no tomorrow but I still watch porn on occasion, heck sometimes we even watch porn together. Why? Because it promotes sexual openness in the relationship, gives us new ideas to explore and ways that we can keep a happy and healthy sexual relationship instead of just having missionary position with the lights off once a week. | ||

On a side note, I think people are confusing strippers with hookers and call girls. You obviously don't pay strippers to get laid. In my experience, most of them are students who want to pay off their college education. And around here, they get paid very, very well ($800 for 30 min/1hr act?). If they feel comfortable with you guys, they might stay and have a few drinks. But they are all about business. Most do not allow touching. And if they allow touching it's only certain parts. So please do not try to get too "friendly" with them, especially if you're inebriated. (Usually, I'm the sober one, so I had to literally beg a stripper once not to report one of my friends for "friendliness".) As for getting laid during your bachelor party: bad idea. That is potentially marriage destroying. In my experience, girls tend to do it more than guys i.e. ONS (usually they have security issues). I've heard it happen before (with a girl) and she married, the guy found out, and now she's having to deal with a divorce one year after her wedding. | ||

I'd feel insufficient, like I'm not enough for her. 2 See 1, I just don't think a stripper is necessary to get you all riled up and crazy. There are some pretty sick parties where a bunch of guys can have a great time without any girls (Not mentioning the alcohol, that is pretty damn important). Not watch porn if you're in love? This is obviously coming from a person who has never been in a long term relationship. Doesn't matter how much you love a person, you're still going to get bored and be attracted to other women. As long as you don't get intimate with any of them, who cares if you're looking at porn or going to strip clubs? To answer your question, almost every girl I know or date watches porn, and it doesn't make me feel inadequate in the least. Why should it? | ||

I organized my brother's bachelor party three weeks ago. Given his character (and that of his friends), I knew a stripper would just make things awkward. Instead we played paintball (while making him wear a wig and drink rum – both very important), then went for cocktails at a fancy hotel, out for dinner at a nice place and then to a succession of bars. On the other hand, if your bachelor is the kind of guy who likes strippers, by all means line some up. I think a good rule of thumb here is to find out if he's been to a strip joint before the party. If yes, then I think you'd be wise to get 'em. If no, then pass. | ||
