Danish Vikings conquer England and Normandy. Normandy conquers/creates the UK. UK conquers much of the rest of the world, creates USA. USA now main superpower. All this keeps power and wealth in the hands of Danish neighbors and allies. Danish interests are protected by the blood and treasure of the English and Americans, who open up and protect trade routes, fight fascism, communism, terrorism etc. Denmark benefits without bearing (much of) the costs of slavery, ex colonies etc. Denmark now one of the most homogenous, happiest, least corrupt, well informed and prosperous countries in the world. Virtually every other country on the planet has borders created by the legacy of Empire and/or the World Wars, and therefore suffers some form of religious, ethnic and/or sectarian tension due to artificial borders. Of course it's just luck of geography, but it's as though all of history has accidentally fallen out to our advantage lol :D

- One of the few countries where euthanasia is legal and where you can buy softdrugs (legally) - More than half our country is below sea level. - There are nearly as many bicycles in Holland as people. - Holland is the third largest exporter of agricultural produce, after U.S. and France, even though only 3% of the Dutch population is employed in the agriculture sector. All I can think of for now.

Furthermore, a Belgian citizen under 18 years of age may not under any circumstance be responsible for any crime (there is even a joke in Belgium that if you want to commit crime, do it before you turn 18). So would you say it's illegal to not attend school when under 18, and yet ppl under 18 cannot commit crimes?

All people under 18 are required by law to attend school. Is it therefore illegal (i.e. a crime) if people under 18 do not attend school? Yes, in theory. HOWEVER. no one under 18 in Belgium is allowed to not attend school. NO ONE. When you're under 18 and you're in Belgium, you go to school no matter what.

Edit: If you don't get what I'm saying, we are known for our unique, satisfying and horrible inventions that, like Styrofoam or the Atom bomb, never ever go away. (Yes I know those weren't uniquely American and Styrofoam was originally made in Sweden, I'm going for a light hearted joke here)

The thing that you're basically three different countries into one - German, French and Italian parts, that's quite odd, and cool.

Some people mentioned we have milk in bags, but in western Canada we don't have that. Much of our police still use horses.
