1. When you eat food, you'll have to shit 2. That shit is used to grow plants 3. Plants take out all the nutrients, proteins and other goodness from the shit while leaving out the rest 4. Cows eat the plants containing all those nutrients and such 5. Therefore in a convoluted way, we are already eating our own shit THE CIRCLE OF LIFE (or should it be, the circle of shit?) anyways all this japanese guy did was to find a shortcut from step 1 to 5. i see the concept is challenging and probably won't be accepted for a long time but who knows. maybe one day we'll have to rely on this shit | ||

Not with steaks though, it was all the nutrients, not just protein, and after processing it was a white powder that could be flavoured for broths and stuff. It was extremely high in loads of nutrients so they thought it would work in countries with starvation. Turns out even staving people wernt willing to eat it. Massive failure. I cant remember where i read about it, id try and find a link but im scared of what the google search might show me. | ||

As for eating it, I wouldn't have any problems with it and I'm surprised that so many would. Rationally there's nothing wrong with it, and it's more like a poop butterfly that turns into a hamburger. | ||

Wouldn't we still have to eat a lot of protein rich foods, like meat from animals, or milk from cows, to make our crap full of the stuff we want more of? This seems more like a way to recycle crap, no to create new renewable food sources. | ||

Which is pretty much as direct as it can get without someone actually eating fecal matter in its, "fresh from the oven" form. In addition manure produced from animal waste is far more commonly used in agriculture than the variety created from human excrement, at least to my knowledge. | ||
