Reason : You can mix it with anything and it's damn good Starch: Rice Reason: It's all purpose, goes good with my other options Nut: Honey Roasted cashews Reason: SO FUCKING GOOD Herb and Spice: Cilantro, Old Bay Shrimp spices Reason: To make the other stuff taste better. | ||

Reason : Tastes fine. Good nutritional value. Gives you a lot of food for each fish you clean. Vegetable : Peas Reason : Good nutrition. Fruit : Mandarin oranges Reason : Anti-scurvy agent. Shellfish : Lobster Reason : I like shrimp better, but I figure lobsters are easier to catch. Starch: Corn Reason: The best starch. Nut: Pistachio Reason: Tastes great. Herb and Spice: Chives Reason: Goes well with anything I doubt my island exists... | ||

Reason : almost as versatile as tuna and tastes better! Vegetable : tomato Reason : goes well with everything, forms the basis of most sauces I know how to make and can be turned into a salad. And yes, I know it's technically a fruit, but so are aubergines, my other choice for veggies, so FUCK veggies, you all suck! Fruit : Mango Reason : it's the king of fruits! Shellfish : Lobster Reason : I am going to be terribly bored on a desert island and breaking open lobster shells to get to the yummy on the inside seems like good entertainment. Crab would work as well, but lobster is better! Starch: Wheat Reason: can make flour. With flour I can make cake! Can also make pasta! Also whiskey > vodka. Nut: My brother Reason: He can actually cook! Herb and Spice: Basil and Parsley Reason: Seeing as I already have pepper, other spices fulfill only partial roles. Parsley, however, goes well with virtually everything. So taking two herbs with me! Basil because it's just a great herb (and I need SOMETHING to make a salad with my tomatoes with) Meat: t-bone Reason: you have to ask? it's the king of steaks (and better than porterhouse because it comes with a fancy bone you can gnaw when you're bored). | ||

Reason : Can be eaten cooked or raw, very delicious, substantial amount of meat for a fish, and nutritious Vegetable : Seaweed Reason : Plentiful around the ocean, edible, useable for medicinal purposes, and it's a very good fertilizer Fruit : Avocado Reason : Thrives in tropical climates, super tasty, trees bare tons of fruit, and goes well with a lot of foods Shellfish :Lobster Reason : Fatty, which is important when you're in a survival situation; tasty, reasonably easy to catch. Starch: Rice Reason: Very all purpose type of starch, goes with almost any food Nut: Almonds Reason: Just hearty, fatty, and amazing Herb and Spice: saffron and Wasabi Reason: Both are amazing and compliment all previous items well. saffron mostly for the rice Also, this is the perfect combination of items for an island to make sushi all year long ^_^ | ||

Salt+pepper+tuna collar = gg Starch: Potato Reason: When asked what his last bite on Earth would be, Joel Robuchon responded that if he had a good potato and a slab of butter he would be happy. Good enough for me. Shellfish: Fresh oyster. Reason: Maybe with lemon...but not even necessary. Truly one of the world's greatest foods..provides its own sauce. To be honest if I had to make a top 10 list of any foods I would probably include these as it is...so this island challenge was pretty simple haha. | ||

Reason : Grew up eating roasted trout, love the taste of it. Vegetable : Potato Reason : I'm assuming it counts. Fruit : Apple Reason : The taste is just overall amusing. Shellfish : Lobster Reason : It contains a lot of meat and it tastes good. Starch: Wheat Reason: It can be used for so many things. Nut: Coconuts (Even though it's technically a fruit) Reason: It would feel very wrong to be stranded on an island without them, plus coconut milk is delicious both in dishes or just drunk alone. Herb and Spice: Pepper and Basil (preferrably Lemon Basil) Reason: Personal preference in taste. | ||

Vegetable : cucumber Reason : It would make a good snack, not really a vegetable you can get tired of Fruit : Apple Reason : Super hard choice, I figured there are enough varieties of apples that I could keep changing it up so I don't get tired of eating the same thing every day. Shellfish : Shrimp/Crab Reason : If shrimp isn't a shellfish, I'd take a crab, if a crab isn't a shellfish, I guess I'd take an oyster, which I wouldn't eat, I would just hope for pearls. They would probably boost my spirits, and give me something to look forward to. Starch: Potato Reason: One of my all around favorite foods Nut: Pistachio Reason: delicious Herb and Spice: chives and cinnamon Reason: for my potatoes and apples | ||

Reason : Versatile, you can cook,eat raw,put on the bbq, make soup,patee. Vegetable : Tomatoes Reason : You can make "ketchup", eat them raw,cook tomato soup, fill tomatoes with tuna and bbq them. Make all kind of sauces. Fruit : Grapes Reason : you can eat them,make juice/wine/vinegar/schnaps out of them. Shellfish : Lobster Reason : Its versatile to cook, you can make soup,grill it, do all sort of funky buisness with the meat. Starch  otatoesReason: Beacuse you have 1001 way to cook them + if you get tired of grape schnaps, you can always distill some votka and get your self blind. Nut: Coconut Reason: Because you can make milk,oil,water,nectar,suncream/alcohol + eat it. Herb and Spice: Cannabis Sativa / Garlic Reason: Cuz i like to be chilled, not stoned and also i can make oil and rope / Cuz it smells great, and goes great with the rest of the menu. So we start the day by drinking grape juice / or coconut milk than chewing some chips, chilling arround the island, smoking some weed, thinking what to eat for lunch. For lunch we have tomato soup with lobster, with potatoes i made noodles,added some salt / garlic / little bit of wine. Smoking weed, doing potato votka shots than taking cocount on the rock, putting marihuana leafe on the top and naming him rasta Marley. For the dinner we have tuna bbq-ed on the fire made of the grapetreee, covered with the coconut oil, salted and spiced with garlic. With that i serve potatoes bbqed also in one piece, and salted. Putting some ketchup over it cuz im stoned and half drunk. Than smoking some weed, chilling in my marihuana hamcock, drinking some fine wine and singing with Marley: "No woman no fuck" | ||

Reason : Same reasons as OP. Good, versatile fish. Tastes good with most spices and herbs too. Vegetable : Cabbage Reason : Many uses. Can be steamed, stir fried, or washed and eaten raw. Can be used to create wraps, and maybe even a cabbage salad. Fruit : Grapes Reason : Water content and wine. Shellfish : None Reason : Jewish Starch: Rice Reason: From Hawai'i. Can't live without it. Can be pounded into rice noodles (pho anyone?), rice cakes. Can last longer than wheat when not cooked. Nut: Almonds Reason: My favorite. Can go crushed with most foods. Herb and Spice: Sage and Garlic Reason: They are both wonderful with cabbage and tuna. Garlic is also healthy for you in moderation. | ||
