Fish : uhmmmmm Perhaps sea bass or tilapia Reason : I would be scared to eat raw fish i like sea bass though
Vegetable : Onions Reason : nice to cook with and tasty :D
Fruit : Bananas Reason : Easy to eat and delicious.
or lemons cuz they are nice to use for cooking. I love lemons
Shellfish : Lobster/Crab Reason : Boil and chow and yummy
Starch: Rice Reason: Im asian.
Nut: Peanuts Reason: Easy to eat for a lazy man.
Herb and Spice: Basil Reason: Tasty and can be eaten raw :D

Fruit: Longan This is probably the toughest decision for me, there's too many fruits that I love. Longan however is super sweet and juicy. Additionally, I have always liked the delicate technique required to eat them without making a mess.
Vegetable: Spinach Reason: Tastes great raw, stir-fried, whatever...tends to be very absorbent.
Fish: No preference, really... Reason: Not the biggest seafood affectionado, but sardines, catfish, and some others are pretty good.
Shellfish: Don't really dig shellfish, but if I had to pick one, I'd pick one that had nutrients my other food choices lacked, or one that had some utility outside of food, like for skin care or something (not sure if there's any, don't feel keen on doing research atm)
Starch: Rice Reason: Goes great with fish and spinach, and I can make rice wine.
Nut: Peanut Reason: Tasty and I can make peanut oil if I'm feeling really inclined to go through the labor.
Herb and Spice: I dunno...ginger? Reason: Complements the taste of my food choices, interesting fragrance.

Vegetable :Shallot Reason : It's like onion + garlic, all in one!!!
Fruit : Tomato Reason : Great fruit for cooking, lots of flexibility.
Shellfish : Alaskan King Crab Reason : So fucking amazing.
Starch: Potato Reason: French fries, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, and so on.
Nut: cashew Reason: best nut, ever. so tasty!
Herb and Spice:salt/pepper Reason: Because its amazing.

Fruit : Blueberries Reason : They're expensive. So I get to pretend I'm eating rich for the rest of my life. And I love blueberries, they taste delicious.
Shellfish : Does shrimp count? Reason : Since I won't usually want to eat it, I just want something that doesn't get in the way and looks pretty-ish. :3

Herb and Spice: Cinnamon Reason: When I get bored, I'll just stick a tablespoon of it in my mouth.

Shellfish : Lobster but I probably wouldn't eat it Reason : Enjoy it more than crab but still hate it overall ;p
Starch: Rice. Almost chose potatoes though! Reason: omnomnom. Great for you, goes well with anything
Nut: Cashews Reason: Good for you, very tasty. Nice and big/filling
Herb and Spice: pepper Reason: like someone else said, salt water evaporating + pepper = tasty.

Fish: Salmon. Big, healthy, not that tough to catch.
Vegetable: Broccoli. Great stuff.
Fruit: Tough one. Probably pumpkin.
Shellfish: Oyster. It's like catching clams.
Starch: Potato. Easy to grow, easy to harvest, easy to prepare.
Nut: Almond. Probably the only one that I could easily eat.
Herb and Spice: Pepper, red or black. Natural antibiotic.

Fish : Cod Reason : Pretty standard fish, mild flavour. Liver is filled with tons of minerals and vitamins, and a large amount of omega 3 fatty acids. Pretty large fish, so big meals.
Vegetable : Peppers. Reason : Different colours, makes them appealing to eat for your eyes, various flavours and levels of Capsaicin.
Fruit : Oranges Reason : Gotta get your vitamin C
Shellfish : Clams Reason : Found near the shore, so they are easy to aquire, can be eaten straight from the shell raw and alive.
Starch: Potatoes Reason: Robust, can be cooked down, add alot of "meat" to meals that dont otherwise have meat
Nut: Almonds Reason: help stabilize blood sugar, have high calcium content.
Herb and Spice: Thyme and perhaps coriander. Reason: Already got your S&P, kind of hard there are so many spices and herbs. These two I feel go well with many dishes.
I'd still over time build some sort of boat. Perhaps use the stars to determine where I was generally on the planet.

Fish : Cod. Reason : it's versatile and one of the healthier fishes.
Vegetable : Toughie. Probably Tomatoes. Reason : You can both make juice out of them, dry them in the sun and use them as a substitute for salt, you can make soup or just eat them raw.
Fruit : Oranges. Reason : They are my favourite fruit.
Shellfish : Oisters. Reason : Cause they contain so much sustenance
Starch: Rice. Reason: Because I feel like it fits my other choices very well.
Nut: Pine Nut. Reason: it's veeeeeery versatile and contains loads of energy.
Herb and Spice: Marijuana and probably garlic. Reason: I love both trolling great threads and MJ. Garlic's friggin sweet aswell.

Fish : Salmon Reason : I just love it more than any other fish.
Vegetable : Romaine lettuce. Reason : It's nutritious, and I personally don't mind chopping up a head and eating it straight up without dressing since I do that already sometimes.
Fruit : Orange Reason : This was a really tough one b/c I eat so many different fruits, but oranges are just really simple. Peel and eat them or squeeze them for juice.
Shellfish : Jumbo Shrimp Reason : Any other kind is just a pain in the ass to peel.
Starch: Quinoa Reason: An ancient grain that is basically like rice except packed with more vitamins while just as versatile for cooking.
Nut: Pistachios Reason: They look cool.
Herb and Spice: Chili Reason: Some spice would be great with my food.

Fish : None. Reason : I pretty much don't eat seafood, so I don't care.
Vegetable : Tomato Reason : I have no fucking idea how to make ketchup, but if I'm living my entire life here, I'm going to try it and it's gonna require tomatoes.
Fruit : Orange Reason : Irrelevant to the french fry industry, but still delicious anyway.
Shellfish : None Reason : Seafood.
Starch: Potato Reason: French fries, damnit!
Nut: Peanut Reason: Oil, of course. Possibly peanut butter, too.
Herb and Spice: Salt Reason: Yeah, the island already has salt, but my island's having more salt. Alternatively, something to flavor my ketchup. But I have no idea what would work good.

Fish : Tuna Reason : I don't eat as much fish as I should, but I'm a big fan of both packaged tuna, and fresh raw/cooked tuna.
Vegetable : Lettuce Reason : All of these are going to be tough, but I figure there is quite a bit of variety in the lettuce family and it's the backbone of a good salad... what else I'll have with it, I'm not sure, but it's a start. Also, learning things on Wikipedia is fun! Was really hard not to go with onion here.
Fruit : Avocado Reason : Was really tempted to either go with a berry here, or orange, but as I recently found I liked avocados I can't help but go with them (I still dislike guacamole.) They have a great taste when eaten alone, and can be added fairly easily to other dishes.
Shellfish : Toss up between Crab and Clams Reason : Crab wins out because the only thing I know I enjoy off the top of my head with clams is delicious clam chowder soup, of which I'm likely missing major ingredients anyway. As with fish, my shellfish experience is rather limited. I've enjoyed scallops, but haven't experimented with them much. Lobster is good, but I'd imagine I'd tire of it quickly. Not too big on shrimp, though I probably like it more than more of the other choices. Crab wins because I'm inexperienced, don't care for a lot of the options, and it's fucking delicious.
Starch: Sweet potato Reason: Brain is yelling at me to take rice, but I love sweet potatoes and sweet potato fries = absolute win
Nut: Pistachio Reason: They taste good. Would likely regret not taking cashews after the novelty of having them semi-rarely wore off.
Herb and Spice: Cilantro and Ginger Reason: Cilantro is a no brainer for me; I enjoy it immensely. Choosing a spice was a lot harder though, as there's so many good options. Ginger is great though, and a lot can be done with it. Chili powder would have likely been the better choice.

Fish : Tuna Reason : very versatile. One recipe I love is searing only the outside of it, while having the middle still raw. Looks great and tastes interesting!
Vegetable : carrots Reason : I dunno, just love carrots. Whenever I'm hungy but don't want to eat anything unhealthy, I just grab a carrot.
Fruit : Tomatoes Reason : lot's of my daily recipes revolve around tomatoes
Shellfish : Shrimp Reason : only shellfish I really eat (can't afford the others :D)
Starch: Rice Reason: goes great with the fish.
Nut: Cashew Reason: I like the taste.
Herb and Spice: Mint Reason: I just love mint! It gives a lot of recipes an "exotic" touch, and I can make tea if all else fails
