I'm pretty sure I can do eight pretty easily with food beforehand and pace myself slightly. Mmm, from my experience the european way is to eat fast food while you're drunk, unless you're going to a private party or something (then you're either gonna eat from home before or cook up some drunk food* at the party). I can only speak for danish youth though. *Mostly this is gonnna be a complete fiasco or it's gonna be rather good. Also this: On March 25 2011 06:49 Terrix wrote: A half liter of beer goes down to 26 Euro cents here in Germany... Thats the really cheap shit (i still like it) And stuff thats really cheap but decent (the general consensus) is only 39 cents for a half liter... Drinking beer IS cheap, and I like the taste. Now to go drinking you almost have to have shots with it, but I just really enjoy killing 3-4 of those half liters just kicking it, gets me buzzed but not drunk I don't understand what people are talking about being bloated or whatever, maybe I have a huge stomach?? I'm 6" (180cm) and skinny, 140-150 pounds, and I can keep drinking beer until I'm on the floor, sure you have to piss but a bathroom break takes 30 seconds I don't wanna hear people bitching about it haha... And drinking beer till I'm on the floor is like 10 pints in less than 2.5 hours Wtf, people complaining that they have to piss too much? Takes like 40 sec to 2 minutes and you're done (obviously this is repeated several times throughout the night, but it's honestly not much trouble at all).

I think the one liquor I can handle the most is jager, downing two 750ml bottles in a couple hours just fine. others, vodka/oj kicks my ass, start blowing chunks and sleeping in the bathroom. Again. I'm done with it.

going by those numbers, I'd go with 5 or 6 pints. haven't actually drank that much(mainly because the sole taste of beer makes me want to puke), but around 10 shots of vodka is where I start getting that "not limited by social boundaries of behavior" feeling(that gentle buzz in your head and face as your brain cells die in screaming agony) and I haven't had any difference between hard liquer and say... a tequila mixed with 7up(actually quite good. gets rid of the burning sensation of 2015 car fuel going down your throat), other than a 3fold toilet going(makes me want to piss 3 times as much), so again, judging by the amount of shots and equating it to the amount of alcohol in beer, i'd say 5 or 6 pints.

But I always have a good feed a few hours before the drinking commences, something with a lot o' spuds! It helps im a +6 footer tho with 15 years drinking under my belt too i guess ![]() It's the assholes who binge drink without a decent feed who do themselves harm! Kids these days *shakes fist* My dad used to tell me the best thing to not get wasted straight off is potatoes and something real fatty. he said it makes the stomach take more time to absorb the alcohol. at least I got a dad who was willing to admit his son would get exposed to alcohol eventually, so he went ahead and explained to me what i should and shouldn't do when drinking. and being the rebellious 16 y/o moron, I went straight to ignoring what he said, and spent most of the next day feeling like i was hit by a train.

I usually drink 3-4 liters of wine and 6-8 liters of beer during a week, and if i drink 2 liters of wine, 6 liters of beer or 0.5 of anything over 40% in one sitting im pissed out of my skull. Guess I have a low tolerance even with all my training then. There is a lot of bullshit going on in here combined with the fact that no one knows what tolerance is supposed to mean. Is it buzzed or puking? Who knows. 12 pints in 2 hours and I would be plastered, and I drink a lot. If the people I met at Chill's one time are any indication of the average TLer's alcohol tolerance there should be an option on the poll for 2 wine coolers, and it should be the majority.

Yes, being drunk is a nice state to be in and beer is generaly cheap and gives you something to hold in your hand so people dont ask 'you need something to drink?'. But liking the way there? even a hint of alchol taste leaves me with abit of a sour smile while it goes down. Sometimes, this sliped away to and I can drink anything and everything without felling the taste. Naturaly, I assumed in my youth that if I just drank more faster Id reach that state were it dosent taste bad more often, sadly "no ugly taste" evenings didnt happen any more often =( I dont understand how people can actually like beer and whatnot for more then half a pint of realy cold beer to some dishes. It just dosent trigger that awesome yumyum nerve most seem to have for it. I was brought up on the country, my parents never hid alchol from me and naturaly assumed I wanted to try it when I got into my teenage years. I sometimes wonder if the alchol being allowed and me getting to taste(Leaving me with a: Why do my classmates talk so much about how much of that shitty tasting beer they've been drinking. (Aquired taste, social acceptance/reward...)) it without group pressure to drink and be jolly as some growing up routine ruined the yumyum nerve for me =( As I'am now older and alot more confident, drinking to be part of a party/social behavioural blending in thing, is a thing of the past; I have the frickin internet to keep me entertained. .

I really think that drinking beer is an acquired taste, and among younger people(especially in countries where legal drinking age is below 21, which is alot of countries), it's something of a way to get inside a group. personally, I think it's just like smoking. I don't see a problem lighting the ocassional nakhla(water goes in the bottom. tobacco goes into the small blue pot. you cover that with aluminum foil, make a bunch of holes, light a special coal and place it on top of foil, then use the tube to inhale the cool fruit flavoured smoke) with a bunch of friends on weekends or something, but have only smoked about 4 cigarettes in my entire 19 year life. smoking one of those is sort of a social activity(also, if you take two straight breaths of smoke without coming out for air, you'll start feeling the same buzzing you get when drinking, only without liver damage, since the buzz in this case is caused by you sort of drowning(complete lack of oxygen). same with drinking. you go to a pub/bar with a bunch of friends not for the sake of drinking, but because it's a nice place to chat and laugh. thought I don't see why beer became the model drink for social binding.

Uhh the buzz from smoking that isn't oxygen deprivation, it's the amount of Nicotine (AKA poison) your ingesting. I've had hookah/nakhla sessions with friends before, and it's quite a fun way to pass the time. As fr drinking, like many people, it depends on my eating and such before hand. I can handle anywhere between 6 beers (about 4 pints) to about 8 pints over a few hours. By the time I hit 8, I'm usually getting to the point where I need to go home. I don't usually actually hit that limit because I can't afford to, nor do I usually feel like it. Last time I got that drunk was 2010 newyears...
