8+ pints over an evening is no problem at all in alcohol terms, but my stomach feels full rather quickly, so I prefer whiskey or vodka. | ||

i think tolerance depends on how you pace yourself. I've had nights where i paced well and would start throwing up around 12 shots of vodka ( i dunno if thats string or weak of me =P). I've also had nights where i would start chucking after sculling a glass of cognac. | ||

I've never got to the point of passing out, falling down, or throwing up, but I assume those points arrive at different intakes of alcohol. That said most I've had would probably be equal to 7 pints, and that was limited due to time and money more than comfort. That was also over probably 2-4 hours also (depending on the event, I can't remember), so technically it counts as less or what? Also, I would have recommended a better system than just pints, but then again because there's no damn standards, almost any way one throws it (defines a drink size), it will be difficult or confusing to some people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_drink 12.7 ml seems like a pretty common and simple number though, especially since the number fits perfectly with 1 pint of 5%ABV beer (2 drinks). | ||
