Athlon AMD XP 3000+ Kingston 1GB PC3200 RAM Radeon 9600 Pro Video Card 120 Maxtor HDD I think it should be able to handle d3. The only thing that I am contemplating about is the graphics card. Should I update my graphics card to a Radeon 9800 Pro? or should I just stick with the 9600? I really can't decide. Or what other graphics card should I get? Whats the difference between the Radeon 9800XT and the Pro version | ||

Oh and as a side note - did you like the original doom? doom2? Get a piece of the doom remade thingy; doom remade (torrent) Basicly it is doom with the same gameplay and everything but in full 3d, with kickass lightning effects and everything the way you remeber. Doom still scares me sometimes:o doomremake missing wads (torrent) try it ~~ should keep you busy untill doom3. | ||

That wasn't even the beta. That was a leaked alpha which was optimized for a certain hardware configuration used by the demo machines at E3. When it was leaked, didn't the leakers say "DON'T JUDGE THE FINAL GAME'S FRAME RATE BY THIS ALPHA DEMO BECAUSE THE CODE HAS NOT YET BEEN OPTIMIZED." | ||
