It was very overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time. For every 30 seconds of gameplay there is 5 minutes of analyzing and 5 minutes of commercials. It's extremely high level, but you can barely tell what's going on and isn't very exciting due to it being too fast. The concept is great because it's TETRIS, but I can't see a televised league lasting for very long. Puyo Puyo would be better for ESPORTS imo.

I might have missed a couple of minutes since the stream flipped out on me once, however. I'm going to try to crop out a lot of commercial bloat before I try uploading things anywhere. The current size of both .asf files is 233MB at the moment, and I accidentally left the thing running in the background for a little bit when I was discussing it in IRC, heh. Also, I'm not sure what to think of Hangame Tetris; it looks to be purely offense. The players seemed to be relying on blind speed to account for the fact that Hangame apparently doesn't allow garbage countering/blocking. They miss so many opportunities and they hardly dig at all. We think you might be able to still toss in some more t-spins and digging and still keep up with the pace. I also can't fathom why they are doing slow drop slides when they start with S or Z pieces when they could easily set up a t-spin single and start back-to-back. Also, yeah, the instant replays were rather gratuitous.

If anyone is interested, I can upload it somewhere tomorrow. I would be extremely grateful if you uploaded it somewhere ![]()

http://www.omgpop.com/#/arcade/gamelobby/blockles Host a game with items off if you just want normal competitive tetris. Leave them on for something a bit more unpredictable and interesting ![]() (sigh... I get a feeling that site is going to be filled with 400apm gosus in a few months)

Someone doesn't know how varied the past of Tetris has been! "Proper," "traditional," "retro," "original" -- it all pretty much means squat in my book. :p NES Tetris would probably be the worst test of skill, though. The molasses slow autorepeat means you're going to have to tap repeatedly, which shifts the focus to physical endurance rather than efficiency. Couple that with a memoryless randomizer and pure random garbage patterns, and you've got a game not suited for competition. Also tells you your tpm. + Show Spoiler + Mines 31 ![]() http://www.blockboxgame.com is the best. Tetris Friends doesn't have a lot going for it; it is slow, cookie cutter guideline stuff as usual. BlockBox has real-time multiplayer, customizable speed options, rotation rule selection, clones of TGM modes as well as some originals, standard fare modes like 40 Lines, etc. This is BlockBox: At any rate, someone is going to cut out all the commercials and upload things some time today. As soon as that happens, I'll post a link here.
