I'm not sure what level you are, but i'll assume the following partly because of the amount of games played (might be totally off): you're passing insanes, but not all. Some are passed easily but some seem very difficult. If your level feels similar to what i described: what helped for me was to push my limits every time i played. Just a few times a day, for example to let your eyes get used to the difficulty or to get used to speeds. What's important here is constantly choosing hard enough songs, but doable. once i did this, i improved at increased speeds. I still use this method, but more specifically: when i feel for example my jumps are lacking, i find some hard jump maps to play. Same for streams, slow streams, and other things. Now, these are myexperiences, maybe the skillful people here have some more or better methods. And maybe i was totally wrong on your level, please don't take offence. Yeah I'm passing insane modes on a lot of songs, but only ones with a certain sort of style. Jumps I manage fairly easily, but if there's a lot of hits in a fairly close area I start losing the beat. Streams I can do, but something like Scarlet Rose is too quick. I should really pick a song and try beat it properly. I keep doing the same ones simply because I like the song, ha. I think I'll try finish Cirno's Perfect Math Class on insane, since I can probably do that if I actually spent some time on it.

Also it's damn boring! I play osu! so that I can enjoy the songs damn it, screw streams! On April 10 2013 05:55 Yuugo wrote: Woa woa, look at all those names I don't know! Good to see some new faces, I hope the thread stays this active :D I'm going to keep saying this, even though people tend to disagree with me. The secret to becoming good with mouse is low dpi. Lowering my dpi to 500 (gradually) greatly increased my aim. It's probably my strongest point now. Sure it will feel so slow at the start, but it will pay off. Welcome new guys, feel free to add Yuugo on osu! and just start talking to me, I'm usually online just for talking to people anyway. Very true, although some people make it work with very high DPI(my friend plays at an insane 3.2k DPI) most of the time you'd want to be at low DPI, it allows more room for error and better accuracy. What people don't realize is that tablets actually have a low DPI(check out how wide their space is compare to how wide you can fill the screen with your mouse). However, playing 500 dpi is way too low, specially if you're using a high resolution. I've seen gameplays of SilviA(The greatest Mouse player of all time!) and from what I can see he uses 1000 dpi on 800x600 screen. And I use this setting except I play on full screen - totally doesn't mean that it's the most optimal one just a matter of preference, but if SilviA can do it then I'll try and do it too! Also I use his skin(well the concept of using white circles anyway), numbers got too old for me and I wanted to spice it up by using dots instead of number, it's working out pretty well! It forces me to listen to use music instead of counting and timing but unfortunately I still do it from time to time TT. Skin play:

Some people 'get it' a lot faster than others, it'll just click for you don't worry about it! I'm at almost 35k play and a lot of people in this region of plays are generally higher in terms of PP. 45k plays n i still suck - but yeah, you're right, it clicks faster for more people than others. + Show Spoiler + single tap everything!

For example I can program mine to have 4 settings, each with its own dpi and button mapping. Most 'gaming' mice can set the dpi to whatever you want up to a certain limit. So most people know their dpi because they chose it. If you want to know your dpi. move your mouse exactly one inch sideways then count how many pixels your cursor moved. ![]()

Just add me and say hey sometime (name is Bobbias, same as here) Standard mouse DPI is 450, so unless he has a mouse with adjustable DPI, thats what it is. And to show some of my more recent results: ![]() I know, the map is not too hard, but quite jumpy. Pity i only had a 300 combo. Overall, after achieving this, i've noticed a bit more consistency in my larger jumps. (not quite perfect, seeing the number of misses >< )

Is there a way to change the new default skin back to the old one? The x's and transparencies are kinda throwing me off.

You can find me under 501TiMEflUX, should you want to add me as a friend... btw. maybe you can help me with that, I'm currently searching for a certain spinner (the one cookiezi uses in his "newer" (jan 2012) liveplays), since I'm currently creating my personal skin (basically parts that I like, from different skins), it's a clockwork looking one, but I can't really find it ... any idea where to find it?
