They're finally doing deadspace invulns and the numbers are just stupid. CCP, the people who brought you "let's make t2 skirmish links, then improve them to neaten up the numbers", have outdone themselves this time with sheer ignorance about the game. If these numbers from sisi are put in the game then you can expect the following effects.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/65181999@N02/6647165333/in/photostream/lightbox/
Shield capitals/supers will become way, way, way better.
Any reasonably expensive ship (tengu, nightmare, mach) is gonna need B types or better. B types aren't even all that hard to get from exploration, a guy running a good tengu setup in caldari lowsec can pretty much afk (100mn = zero damage from missiles/pvp) risk free and get them reliably. We're talking a b type with 14% more resist than the t2 with no stacking penalty. To give the importance of an increase on the mod versus just having more mods I ran the stacking penalty numbers. 2x b types would be .43+(.57*.43*.87)= 64.3% resist working from a base of 0 (I believe). Two invulns would be .3+(.7*.3*.87)=48.2. A third invuln would be .52+(.3*.48*.57)=60.2. So, based on a double invuln ship with 0% resists, with b-type deadspace you'd be taking 35 out of every 100 damage whereas with t2 you'd be taking 52. You'd take 50% more damage with the t2s.
A pithum A type gives 46% unheated, comparable to two t2 invulns once you've dealt with stacking. No more needs to be said about that. A type isn't even all that hard to get, it's gonna be carrier only at first but won't stay that way.
More interesting with be cn/dg invulns. They're awful now. Really, really awful. Worse than the C type shit which drops all over the place in lowsec exploration sites which can be blitzed. I'm expecting their price to crash to around the 30m mark. And the beauty of it is that cn invulns are still a pretty huge increase in tank for your average shield ship, they're just completely outweighed by the new deadspace gear. CN invulns on drakes will be completely reasonable, nados with single DG invuln should be standard and a battleship with a cn invuln is probably failfit.
The cheapness of cn invulns will in turn massively amplify the abilities of shield RR fleets and shield capitals, fundamentally changing the balance of power between shield and armour. Shield is pretty even as it is, it won't be soon.
Steve will get another 1.5k dps/tank for about 80m increase in cost (cost guesstimated).
Active tengus will be broken as fuck.
Other pith and gist loot will get cheaper as people gold rush to it.
Saranen will be one of the best systems in eve for bearing.
And finally, cn invulns are barely worth making now and people do. We're talking a 90% reduction in price, nobody is ever gonna make another. CN invulns take the same tags in roughly the same proportion as CN bcs. Anyone wanna take a guess what that'll mean?
Base resists on siege linked hamdrake with 2x cn invulns heated (for 6 minutes) using no weird resist rigs or t2 shit or whatever gives 82 85 89 91.
Yeah...

We're moving back to Saranen...aren't we?

No reason to make cn invulns before this, and after this they will just be novelty items. They will be worth less than the base isk cost for the lp transaction.
Sure you may want cn invuln drakes, but i dont know where you are going to find them soon. Im looking forward to the c types for my sleipnir though.

Oh i Love this. I will so stay in sara and be caldari lowsec ueber. I already make good isk and get some bear kills but once those goodies are live i will just hunt highsec exploring bears coming for the new mods and steal their plexes after blowing them up. I guess i will even hop into that beastly 100mn active fit with those pithum-invulns. Fun times ahead.
2 more days until im back from vacation yeah

Looks like my procrastination on moving everything from sara might pay off.

Just imagine the influx of people that would fly over there to look for Gursitas sites!

After leaving for 3 months (1st semester of college so I wanted to focus), I rejoined the Hatchery about 3 weeks ago. Man, what a great time to be back!! This is a snapshot of my last 2 weeks of kills, it starts at December 24 until today. All of these were done in our standard Rifter fit.
The red star at the bottom was my first ever solo kill, an idiot hound who panicked when I tackled him. The yellow star is my first carrier kill, I got that the day that our corp moved to our new home. In 2 weeks that's a grand total of about 4.15 BILLION in ships destroyed and <10million in rifter losses by me. Rifters are amazing ships
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/twqZX.png) Rifter life!
I hope all the new guys in rifters realize how many nice kills you can be apart of in a rifter!!

note to self: its not wise to get scramwebbed in the middle of nowhere. broodlord reborn inc.
edit:
shades of gray is the reason why that hatchery was driven away from oddelulf...i see why.

So we just had a bit of roam fun and I've been assigned to write a battle report. With only a loose explanation of what that entails I shall attempt it.
In the beginning there was a small group of tiny ships. Two Rifters, a Hound, and two Thrashers. We left YZ9 with thoughts of glorious suicide and, in the case of Jed, what I can only assume was drunken stupor. We made it out to 49- which I gathered is the beginning of "bear land". Not much activity at first, but we spotted a Vagabond, a Sleipnir, and an Armageddon on the station. When Nejota (Chris? still learning names) went to check it out the Vagabond began to chase him so we decided, true to our goal, that we would attempt to bait the Vagabond off the station and kill it before we all died in a fire. A few minutes later we succeeded in the bait and had everyone on it. We began our epic struggle to break its tank with the Sleipnir taking shots at us, and possibly the Armageddon, I only saw the Sleipnir red box me so I'm not sure. With only a Thrasher and a Hound left the shields broke and it was the home stretch, unfortunately the Thrasher died in a fire with its point and the Hound followed shortly after as the Vagabond warped away with so little structure it would have died in one more torp volley. Shortly after this happenned:
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/66TIp.png)
The non-noob people in our fleet obviously decided to oblige. We reshipped into two Rifters, two Autocanes, and a Drake and set off back towards 49-. Our scout rifter, Hareeb, arrived ahead of us and said there was a Hurricane and Badger on gate. We best speeded to try and catch them, they jumped into 8QT and Hareeb followed while we warped in from the other side, the Badger got away but hareeb scrammed the Hurricane who promptly decided to jump back into 49- as we landed, I was told to jump before he did and did so. The Hurricane jumped back before anyone had aggressed besides Hareeb so I promptly scrammed it and we took it down. This caused a massive escalation from the 49- residents. They warped a Thorax, Vagabond, and two Hurricanes on us at the gate. Chessur(?) decided to attack the Thorax to get the fight started while I was told to jump through to 8QT as the Thorax decided to shoot at me and aggress, one of the Hurricanes followed me and proceeded to one shot my Rifter, but I believe that got him stuck on my side of the gate which was a good thing.
The fight continued to escalate with them bringing more ships as our three BCs and Hareeb smashed them because we are just awesome like that. Eventually they brought out a Thanatos and it was time to run. As I was not there I can only relay what I heard over team speak. Hareeb was able to tackle two ships with his Rifter in structure before dying to the carrier's Templars. Jed warped out and warped back as the carrier showed up and the call was made to get out. He landed 10km from them and was still somehow able to warp to a customs at 0, unfortunately they also warped to the customs and as he was trying to align to warp away he bumped into the customs office and got pointed. Chessur and Nejota rushed to his aid, with Templars still chasing them, but unfortunately it was too late for Jed. They returned to a safe as Hareeb's pod landed on the 8QT gate and told them it was clear with 8QT empty so they got out and headed home.
Unfortunately the fights were so close together the killmail seems to have screwed up a little bit and combined them. This is the result: http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12082571
Also the Sleipnir dropped 100m worth of ammo, but we were unable to loot anything, and the Crusader was very fail fit.
Sorry if this was too wordy, I was told to tell a story about what happenned. Tried my best. :D

its time for another bbq shit battle report! this time, it is sponsored by the tofucake school of welping expensive ships -- ("always shoot cn scourge at deimos" is our motto). I'm also operating on somethign like 5 hours of sleep so grammar / spelling should be a bit better than last time. that's not saying much though, sorry!
its very incomplete because i participated in less than 30% of the fights today, but everyone else is lazy, drunk (+ getting podded, n1 jed), or not actually in delve, i figure no one else will accept this sacred duty. (EDIT: looks like I was wrong)
it was a dark and stormy night afternoon. the plane ride was very turbulent. The good news is that the plane didn't crash. The bad news is that i lived through it. Anyways being loyal hatchery / tem lowquad member, I check TS and the killboard to see what's going on. Unsurprisingly, tofu's welped another 300m+ ship. In slightly less depressing news, hatchery massacred some random fleet of FAIL / renters / whatever. I heard the fight was frapsed, and a picture is worth a thousand words, and you don't want to read a 100k+ word battlereport now do you?
http://teamliquid.killmail.org/?a=kill_related&kll_id=12078562 -- i was not here
moving on, we soon form up for another roam. but it is not to be so exciting, unfortunately
an aside -- most null sov alliances have intel channels. Intel channels that generally pick up 10-15 man gangs running through your space
anyways, imagine you are having an uneventful time ratting in your peaceful fluttershy zealot peaceboat -- one imagines that the jaws theme is playing, as the news of the enemy gang in intel comes nearer -- from 5 jumps away, to 3, to 2, to 1, then the scout is in local, and suddenly 15 guys are violencing your boat...all because you weren't paying attention to the shark fins approaching (wow this metaphor sucks)
yeah that basically happened. he ejects. we steal it. it is -- a zealot with a missing midslot!
what the fuck
nothing else happened on that roam. eve is a terrible game. eve is ruining ESPORTS
anyways, i log in 3 hours or so later. zedd informs me that he has dispatched an enemy battleboat in honourable combat (railranis > 'unconventionally fit' dramiel), and more pertinently, that there are hostile criminals waiting outside to do the fightings with the hatchetery.
we have 4 BC + rifter. they have curse + 5~ BC. but its not just regular curse -- its super secret sacrilege-cloaky-shit-tanked-curse! yeaaaaaaaah...
it blows up after about 2 missile volleys. without any range control on their side left, its more or less a massacre of the remaining forces. however, it turns out that in the same system, there's another group of hostiles chilling on station. They have 2 hictors, 5 canes, a talos, a dram, and the dreaded crucifier -- also, we've added a zealot to our fleet. unfortunately while loitering off the station undock, they manage to probe and warp on top of us
Zedd, in a drake, is left for dead, as he is tackled -- as he enters armor, somehow he manages to burn out of range of 6 guys in canes and a long point dram, and warps
okay there!
wait, what the fuck?
we warp to station to begin the fight. however, zedd is camped inside the station. As he undocks, hostile onyx and devoter helpfully bubble all their alliance mates, which turns out to be a good play, as it rapidly becomes evident that pty much no one in the hatchery ever points anything ever. But anyways, canes start shooting zedd, dramiel burns for us, game on. Dramiel gets webbed, and as a Zealot dismembers its twirly appendages, it says, "oh god, I wish my pilot had put medium shield extender on me".
Well, that's what I imagine it would say if a dramiel could talk.
splatter girl (GIRL IRL) leads the hurricanes on a merry chase off the station. missile and 800mm Repeating Artillery II fire quickly shreds them, at which point the devoter and onyx realize shits gone wrong and turn off their bubbles. death count up to now is 3 cane, dramiel, crucifier. we lose hatchery hero rifter. RIP o7 o7 o7
the hostiles reship, and we go to a mission gate and let them probe us down
they all warp onto the mission gate at zero. drakesquad is chilling 50 km off.
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETCHES
but i'm bad, zedd bad, serg half-bad (alt-tabbing), so everything warps off but the talos, which is quickly murdered. hatchery competence!
obviously i was hoping the devoter to bubble all his alliance mates again, but such was not to be!
hostiles now decide to exit, but not before round 3 -- they set up on gate with a rapier and a couple of canes. we jump into them, melt their rapier, and point a straggler hurricane, dispatching it rather quickly, before hostiles decide to leave for good.
operation home defense / police patrol success
TL;DR bad
also the probe guy above me writes better brs than me

Can't stop laughing. Bad, bad, he bad she bad e'rybody bad... half-bad. XD

Gentlemen, I have arrived. (in delve.)
Now I just need my black frog shipments to come in and I'll give the locals a friendly greeting of sorts.
|
To add to 419s battle report, tofu was able to keep the Huginn alive for a good 3 hours since Hareeb and I tackled the canes trying to kill him in the first fight. He got out with ~30% structure or something. Hero on my first roam? gg? I guess the fraps will tell. I really have no idea what happenned haha.

I didn't welp it, thanks. I was ordered to agress on a gate at 0 while a 50 man cascade fleet jumped through at the same time :<
And that Huginn lived through 3 hours of battle in half structure. It's a hero. And so is my Rifter friend Sylvex.
