I was sent out to scout for the first time as a backup to witch, 2-3 jumps before the engagement. When I got to the gate where the engagement took place, I saw the Arazu on my overview and called it out, but it disappeared. I checked dscan and nothing showed up so I assumed he jumped. I also jumped through to the next system, the same system I thought the arazu was in and the same system witch was in. When the fleet arrived on the gate that I had just jumped through, the ambush occurred and I decided to jump back through to help. On arrival I saw 10-15 hostiles and I started getting shot, so I warped to the sun. I immediately warped back onto one of our drakes and started scramming the Manticore. After it blew up I noticed I was fully out of cap, so I aligned to the sun and spam warped. But I was getting targeted and scrammed, so I thought I was gonna die. When my shields were at about 20%, somehow my warp drive kicked in and I got out of there. Pretty epic night, deepest into null sec I've ever been and the largest engagement I've ever seen so far. Highly enjoyable, and I didn't even die! Thanks for the fun dudes
Tonight we hunted down the same recon fleet that we engaged last night. This time, on the Torrinos gate in EC. I believe they tried to hot drop us, but this time we had 7 drakes, a hurricane, a tengu and 7 rifters. Considering we beat them last night when we were outgunned and ambushed, well... needless to say they didn't stand a chance.
The outcome:

I also have to add that having just started playing this game 2 weeks ago, you guys are making it infinitely more fun than it would have been otherwise. Thanks for being such ballers.

Did another awesome Hatch/SP roam tonight.
A little bit of backstory first: Yesterday we were flying around with a bunch of rifters, 2 drakes and a cane. We found a lone Arazu and it was obviously trying to drop on us. We decided to stay there and try to deeps it down before it could get anyone us. We were too late though, and they managed to drop their fleet of cloaky Black Ops battleships with some falcons and a bunch of other fancy expensive ships. The arazu was down to structure when everyone decided to warp away, except for Chessur, who is very experienced when it comes to dealing with cloaky fleets. He stayed around to finish the arazu, quickly hung up on his girlfriend and told all of us to come back. So we warped back asap and we managed to kill another 3 of their expensive ships. We only lost 4 rifters and 2 BCs. We killed about 5 times the value of what they killed. (Killmail)
That brings us to today, we were planning to go out and roam again, when we noticed wolftin, the arazu pilot who dropped us yesterday, was flying around in a new Arazu. We were stationed in Saranen for a while and he was in local with us there. He then jumped out into 93p and continued to EC-. We had Serg in EC- trying to bait their drop, and the Arazu took the bait and dropped a cynofield. The rest of our fleet (7 drakes, 1 cane and 7 rifters) warped on top of them. I managed to get a scram on a Pilgrim and called it in TS, after about 40 seconds the deeps from the drakes took it down. At this point most of their fleet had already gotten out. All that was left was a lone redeemer, which was taken care of pretty quickly. The final score was no losses on our side and 6 losses on theirs. Total value of their ships was over 2b isk. (Killmail)
After that we continued to hang around on the Torinos gate in EC- a while longer. A ship jumped in so I turned on my mwd and burned towards it, trying to get a scram on it. It quickly warped away though so I turned back, just minding my own business again, and headed towards the gate. Then suddenly my rifter blew up, I had no clue what was going on, but apparently I got bombed. Yea.. Oh well, that bomb probably costed more then my rifter anyways

Shrapnel bombs in Jita: 800k/690k.
Standard fleet fit Rifter: ~600k
Efficiency: 53-57%.

Quiet.Storm, possibly the worst black ops droppers in Eve.
"It seems that most black ops drops result in the cyno Arazu blowing up" "With that in mind, let me use my RF point Arazu to hotdrop two Drakes"

well, that's just lovely.
Also Black Ops ships are really terrible, and so are the people who use them. Still nice kills on them.

if you know what your doing- the gangs are deadly The thing is- BLOPS are not needed in great numbers. Your fleet should have at max 1 sin / 1 widow in it. The rest of the pilots should be flying recons, or bombers for DPS. a single SB is going to be able to apply more damage, and be far more useful than either the pather or redeemer (2 worst blops btw). So it is lulzy when the dropped 5 of them on us... 2 nights in a row lol. Had that gang been made up of 3 more recons- and a handful more bombers... Things would not have gone so well.
