2 Basis can keep up with the dps in a c5 assuming youve fitted correctly, but yeah, 2 dps and youll be there for ages. We run w/ 5-6 rr tengus usually and it takes us about 15-20 minutes per site; with only 2 your looking at an hour or more per site not to mention you might not be able to break the tank of some of the rr battleships that spawn.

Its certainly not an hour, having done it myself. but its obviously preferable to bring in more dps, two t3's can can certainly clear it though as an absolute bare minimum. How well does the tengu rr work? Would love to see fits.

3 Big things here.
1. CCP has no idea how to balance hybrids
2. The caldari ship will suck
3. The minnie BC is basically going to be a slightly slower vaga with bs guns. The falloff bonus is huge, its going to be a cheap mach.
|
The caldari ship sucks because both torpedoes (no sig bonus, and that measly expl.velocity bonus wont do much) and hybrids (lol optimal bonus) suck. Let's see what the hybrid change will be, but meh, drakers gonna drake :/

Nano oracle GOGO. Its like a zealot put with BS dps and apoc range, also tracking bonuses are sexy.

Yeah except Kwark and I already HAVE basis.

Not in corp, but I would love to. Wanted to start a wormhole corp with some of the guys I know, but they suck at playing Eve, and it never went anywhere...

LOL TORPEDOS?
HAHAHAHA
Tornado is overpowered as fuck. As mentioned it's just a cheap as mach that will rape shit ten ways to sunday. It's going to hit with 800mm out to 80km with those bonuses...
Yea probably coming back, assuming CCP doesn't fuck the slot layout as they are so prone to doing.

The gallente one is insane. All the other ones are fucked if you get in close due to tracking problems. Not this one. It just webs you and YOU DIE.
(Basically, its a vigilant with vindicator dps).
But yeah, the caldari one sucks for what we do.
Edit: It actually looks like on all of them, they tried to make them bc versions of the pirate bs. Tornado gets macha bonuses, oracle gets nightmare bonuses, talos gets vindicator bonuses. The naga of course gets shit since no pirate bs uses missiles.

any pictures of the other new ships?

Looking at those I see no reason to fly anything other than the tornado and oracle ever. The exception is the gallente one which will be useful to have one of in the fleet because a 90% web has a far greater reduction in speed than a scram, even with mwd still on, and leaves them sig blown and immobile. In fact, the caldari one would be viable if a web hit the target from the gal.

If these are in the game in time for AT this changes everything.

So I'll be a tornado and mach pilot? Screw nanopests?

Depends on the slots but from the look of it, yes. The booster consumption in longer roams combined with the incredible requirements of running the mwd and heavy neuts make the pest less desirable for our standard activities.

As Kwark said the nanopest requires Cap Boosters to use effectively.
If you are going on short roams, this doesn't matter at all. If you are going on long roams...have fucking fun burning all of your cap out in 20 seconds.
This is really slot dependent. If it's basically just a hurricane with 800mm like...even flying a mach becomes somewhat difficult to justify in a cost -> effectiveness ratio.

Playing around in eft, the caldari one blows. It gets max (with range rigs) <40km torp range and still cant hit anything smaller than a battleship without webs and target painters. Factor in how slow torps are, and the 40km torp range rapidly shrinks against targets with any speed.
Javelins are ofc, unusuable in our fleets since they make you practically immobile.
On the nanopest vs tornado - on longer roams we could take a cloaky hauler full of cap boosters, nanite and ammo with us. Heavy neuts are very useful things to have.

I'll wait to look at the specs before deciding whether to just focus on nano bs or throw in bc V earlier. Primarily looking at speed, agility and utility slots. :D

While we could do that Michael the evidence suggests that we don't. We've been using nanopests for a while and haven't started mixing in transport ships. Regarding torps, with maxed skills and bc V you should still be getting a legitimate range (say 30k) from them without javelins. That's not an unreasonable range for a caldari bc to sit at. The speed of the incoming ship is the primary concern, not the sig, due to mwds. A 90% web would be required to hit at anything like EFT dps but equally the EFT dps would be through the roof. We'll need to test it obviously but I can see it having some utility with a 90% web boat (by comparison a scram only slows about 80% and turns off the sig bloat, 90% webs are some of the sickest stupidest things in eve) and a huginn painting.

Hopefully the Oracle will have more mid slots than the Harb.
This is my one wish in life.
It'll probably turn into a shitty armor boat though
