I did the 14 day trial before and was having a lot of fun, but once the start was over I was lost with what to do and never really went back into it once the time was up. I'll definitely message someone from the hatchery to get a mentor and give it a go again. | ||

Granted I'd already had a character for like 6 months, but yea the OP is longer than most papers I wrote for uni when I was in school. Edit: Then again these days how to join is actually at the top of the OP. Regardless, I think our recruiting process is horribly inefficient to being with. | ||

We will be holding a Starcraft 2 tournament, as well as a Brood War tournament. These tournaments will be open to any TL member. The prizes that I hope to have are 2 plex for 1st, 1 plex for 2nd, 200m for third for both tournaments. This totals 2.8 bil (~$140) in prizes. The only problem with these prize pools is that FB and I do not have that much money to just throw around. Therefore I must ask for donations from both the hatchery and any other TL member that plays EVE. There is currently 1.65 bil in the pool. Thank you to VoV, Jed, Body, Pollux, Not Orious, Mythics, Gudrun, and Adolith (I dont know your TL names :|) for their donations. I am hoping that these tournaments will attract attention from the members of TL who only read the sc2 and bw sections, and hopefully get more people playing this game we play (or at least get them to realize there is more to teamliquid than purely starcraft (even though it is the game that brings us all together)). I realize that there is a high degree of trust involved when making any sort of donation in EVE. I would say to give it to kwark, and have him forward it to me, but chances are that he will just keep it for himself :s. Because of that, all the credibility I can give you is my membership in TL and my post history, as well as my actions in the running of the previous tournament.
