I wrote a long post detailing my journey today but it's best left in a private forum, so I deleted my post. Excluding my very lucky drop this morning, after a full day of exploration I can say it is comparable to money making missioning. More enjoyable but riskier.

On another note, I just watched the triage thanny video on the good pvp video thread, and I thought it was hilarious when the 9 falcons couldnt do anything about the thanny.
So EVEHQ had a huge update. Most of the bugs I ran into have been fixed. It even seems a good deal faster, though this might be a slight placebo effect, I don't know.
And since I was testing it, apparently I ran into these stats while playing with the mach I linked a few pages ago:

I am looking to raise some capital for a scheme. This will be uncollateralised. Those who have previously loaned to me will know I repaid them on time and with the agreed interest, those who haven't loaned to me before, you should be able to find it. I'm looking to raise about 20b to be loaned for at least two weeks with 1% compound interest per week. Either party may end the loan at any time with the interest being rounded in favour of the party who did not choose to end it (ie if you ask for your money back on the 6th day of the week that week doesn't count, if I ask to end the loan on the 1st day of the week I pay interest on the whole week).
I'm staking my tl rep as collateral, what can you guys do for me?

The day starts out with some basic probing going on. Turns out Ueber has recently cleared out the place, but I find some Radars to do..., O, whats this?? Its a Red Light District... where angels have hookers etc etc.
Hmm, my poor drake, took quite a beating in there. With shit tank and missile skills, I managed to take out the Retirement Home and fly in for glorious loot. Turns out, it was empty (45m overseer loot). Well, this is the life of an explorer, its not all glam and glory. I return to my station to dock up and rest, I will be back later this evening.
A few hours pass, I am well rested, time to probe! O my, a hackable ladar in oddelulf, sweet! No.. too bad, nothing drops. Alright, heading 1 jump out to Atlar. Find a few wormholes, and then , another Red Light District! One more unknown sig... ANOTHER red light district. WOOOT!
Ok , 2 districts, let me grab a beer, what could go wrong? Well, I grind my way through the first one, about half way I realize... well, I might as well bring my alt here who has a Machariel. As I open that account, my better judgement says, just bring a drake. So I start flying my other drake out to help. Back to the RLD 1. I blow up last building, o sweet loot, but damn I have to warp out. So I warp out, then come back to get loot. Did I mention that I took off some tanking mods for dps (BADDD MOVE). I warp into the final pocket, burn in for loot, NICE a 400m mod \o/ O SHIT POP, died to rats -_- And.. the loot didnt drop. Le sigh, 400m + drake down for no reason other then I fucked up.
Time to cry about it.. well Uberlisk logs in to mock me, but comes to help the 2nd site with his ballerness. 2nd RLD yields around 300m.
So, theoretically, it was around 800m loot from 2 sites, that should have taken 1.5 hours. Instead, I lost nearly everything.
Hehe, thanks. Yea it's certainly fun. I feel like I appreciate EvE enough so I should do some stuff I haven't done before, that's why I originally was going for wormholes. Then decided to try the exploration stuff. Was pretty shitty to watch 500m go pop , but, I seem to only learn from my mistakes sadly. Now I know... be a little more wary when 15 Angel BS, 15 sentry towers and various others ships are in their optimal while you slow down to grab loot ;p It's pretty neat to be doing all this stuff with a 4m skill point alt, I'm going to just start cheating and bring a Vd tengu or machariel out here now though for these sites

I don't play the game myself but I've read a few things about it and when it first start talking about organizations, intergalactic battles and such I simply can't help getting all excited. Can anyone hit me up with some links to some great ingame stories?!
Well we post random battlereports every now and then but that's purely about small pvp engagements. A good read is another thread here on TL - search for Metagaming in Eve thread here.
Hey guys I would like to activate EVE acc after about 6 months. I visited forums today and what I see is a lot of whining which is unusual for eve community. I was excited about activating EVE but forums kinda discouraged me. They talk about latest patches "ruining the game". I just need something to motivate me back. I know I should not listen to that, but it still affects me, my mind saying I should keep away from the game.

Is there ANY game which hasn't been 'dying' since the first patch was released? Apparently lowsec has been dead since 2006 or 2007 but we got about 50b-60b worth of kills in each of the last 3 months when we still lived there.
