(I'm an engineer with an obsessive case of knowing everything if you wonder why I'm so neurotic about all these things) gallente ships aren't bad. Gallente ships are worse than other ships in situations in which hatchery fc's enjoy flying in. With the exception of eaf's, each race / class of ship has a niche in which it excels beyond the other four. People in corp prefer drakes / minnie ships because drakes excel at being the best ship in the game at everything while minnie ships are fast and deal a lot of damage while being able to dps from outside scram range if necessary. Should you ever find yourself in a situation where you know you will never need to run or take damage and your target is big and slow and at 0km, a blasterfit gallente ship would be your best choice to deal damage unless you can fly typhoons or drakes. This doesn't really happen outside of station camping or i guess warping in on a mission runner or something, though, so you prob. shud just join the drake army. Managing ammo is simpler than managing cap in every way. Drones are not difficult unless you're literally retarded. Skills are balanced around the training multiplier. The 'harder' a skill is to learn, the higher the multiplier is. Easy skills that all characters need access to are like 1-2x at most, while more specialized skills (like titans and t2 ships and stuff) are really high. The rate at which your character gains skillpoints depends on attributes and implants and the primary / secondary attributes of the skill you're training, but what number of skillpoints the skill takes to max (the 1x / 2x / 20x or w/e) does not change. If you plan a sensible route, you can get about anywhere in eve without dying. iirc if you go hisec to rens (sp?) you'd be pretty close to the hatchery's stomping grounds, but talk to someone first if this will take you a while. From there, yes, if you go into losec, you will get fucked up by someone if you don't know what your'e doing. This is something you need to make peace with. Fly a cheap ship. Don't attack people in .5 and above. Don't attack people in .4 and below unless either: a) your fc tells you to b) you know what you're doing c) they're in something way more expensive than what you're flying d) they're not on a station or gate and you can afford to lose what you're flying and you think you can kill them and there's nothing too scary on d-scan also if you go through that checklist and you SEE someone on grid in .4 or below, gtfo unless you're on a station or gate, and in either case, be ready to dock / warp / jump. System security is a measure of the approximate saftey of space. There are three categories of space: nullsec, which has bubbles, no gate / station guns, and no sec loss; losec, which has gate + station guns but no concord, and you lose a small amount of sec for starting fights; and hisec, which has concord which will kill you if you start a fight. Hisec is >= .5, losec is >= 0.1. The actual number determines how good of rats / missions you get, the lower the better. Nullsec actually has (had? they might have changed this) a 'true' sec rating below 0 which determined the quality of rats that spawned, following the same rules (lower the better) you should probably just chill, worry less, and die more. eve is a video game. Mistakes are okay. The Gallente lineup is certainly much weaker than it's counterparts. Their frigates and cruisers are alright if you want that kind of thing but most people move on to bigger ships. The brutix is a waste of time, paper thin if gank fit (a single drake can drop it in 30 seconds) and unable to get into combat while still being pretty thin if armour tanked. Bait myrm can be awesome but everyone knows it and it's so slow that they can longpoint it and gtfo if local spikes. Shield myrm is simply a bad autocane. Autocanes are amazing so that's not terrible but if you can fit a decent automyrm you're 6 hours from an autocane. Gallente links are bad and their command ships worse. Their recons are awesome in theory, unusably bad in practice. They are insanely cap unstable to the extent that they almost cannot move. You're forced to shield tank the lachesis which has a devastating resist hole and even invulns make it cap unstable. The damps can be amazing but they never get used because it doesn't have the cap to actually use them. The arazu has speed issues (a load of ships can mwd away from it, especially if it's armoured), cap issues (if it has to mwd after them it caps out in 30 seconds), tank issues (lol, good luck). The Gallente recons are a story of being amazing in EFT and impossible on the field. The Proteus is a good ship, it should be used in place of the lachesis/arazu in most situations as a pointing recon. Their hacs are terrible. The deimos will get instantly dropped in a fleet fight and the ishtar, while it makes decent heavy tackle, is somewhat limited by its lowslots and drone bonuses. Their battleships can't hit anything for shit and can't tackle for shit. They're slow and have trouble tackling anything, good only with an escort. Drones have limited use in lowsec. You're pretty much committed to training hybrids which are the single least practical weapons platform in eve with the least crossover to other races which will hold you back when you do decide to crosstrain.

The TL;DR of what kwark said is:
1.) Gallente Frigs such as the 'ranis, DD and Comet are okay. The Ishkur and Enyo also both have uses.
2.) Their T1 Cruisers are okay, but they are still T1 cruisers.
3.) Their BCs are pretty bad. Myrms look good on paper but obvious bait is obvious.
4.) Their T2 Cruiser lineup is fairly weak. Probably the worst logi and some of the worst hacs. Their recons are mega useful is the right fleets but have lolnocap.
5.) Although it doesn't relate to Hatchery their Armor BS are okay. Although outclassed but Abaddons, Megas and Domis are okay. Navy Megas and Vindis are good in BS Fleets as well for Huge damage.
6.) Drones in lowsec. lulz.

(I'm an engineer with an obsessive case of knowing everything if you wonder why I'm so neurotic about all these things) seeing as you seem utterly incapable of reading the opening post and following basic directions but instead rely on being spoonfed information in order to bear any resemblance to competence at a game, i'd say your chances of thriving in Hatchery seem quite low. best of luck to you regardless.

Contract pvp best pvp.
I hadn't struck anything too amazing today. I did find a hound for 1000isk and a raven for 9m probably the funniest, few random faction mods underpriced.
Then I found my biggest stacking error yet, 16x lol.
http://i.imgur.com/jjquU.jpg
All of these while playing Marvel online :D Just between matches or during a long hyper combo I will refresh. On another, note, motbob is already beasting the contract seen... he hasn't lost his touch at all.

Why do you have a Slave set
|
I have 3 slave sets actually >< (1 up on contract atm, 1 in container) Most of my stuff is in the containers up top, all that shit out in the open is just from this weekend (big bundle) + various. I just sell sets on contract, lots of people are too lazy to get them on market.
