Why the urge?
I could probably do very well in the game doing industries/trading stuff but I'd get bored. Missions/mining sound like typical boring MMO grinding, so piracy/bounty hunter/spying/trolling/etc. are the only options that I'm left with to have fun with^^

On the other hand, pod everyone all the time everywhere regardless of situational complexity and societal norms.

If you are not asking for ransom- then ya pod everything. I have no problem with podding, but don't do it after you have received payment

Either pod or ransom (or pod after ransom is refused). If paid, and you pod him, you are obligated by the pirate code to return the isk.
Douchey "pirates" (you're not a pirate) like you make getting ransoms so very much harder.

Of course it's a choice, but if everyone did so- people would be more willing to pay, and they would pay quickly. Meaning easier pvp money in my pocket

How can he give pirates a bad name? He's not a pirate, just another highsec can flipper, tbh they're nearly as fail as the people they kill

We've begun selling loot from corp ops for our end of month bounty. We're at about 4.5b with around another billion left to tally. Our total losses in all pvp (solo/corp/dying to camps) has totalled at about 3.8b. In short, we've made isk from piracy this month. If we were minded to we could replace every ship, every rig, every mod, for every pilot, in the corp this month and have change, and that's before you count the fact that we already got isk for insurance.

But then how would we form an alliance?

Saw a thread over @ eve-o where a couple of people were saying you cant make ISK from piracy, knowing what a modest bunch you are I just had a private chuckle
Also saw this, thought it was pretty true

I've been debating for several days about trying Eve again. I want to like Eve. I really do. But I've just not gotten into it in the past. I've spent several days playing it, moping around the starting areas, mining, doing the training missions and etc on a trial, but I was never able to get into any of the action. Namely because I'm not sure I know where the action is. Nor did I have the equipment and etc to get there.
After hearing all of the recent publicity it's gotten with the whole Fearless thing, my interest has again been sparked. (Though I suppose that's ironic considering the tone of the publicity, lol) Perhaps joining a Corp will help.
I haven't stuck with an MMO for almost two years now after WoW lost all appeal. (R.I.P Burning Crusade =( ). And Eve does look like a game that you get wrapped up in. Hopefully I can get to a point where my interest in the game stays. We shall see. =)
