Black ops are just mini titans. Pretty much only good for bridging and getting ganks since they pretty much suck otherwise for their price tag.

Ok. Here is what's currently wrong with Black ops battleships.
1. Short jump ranges.
2. Small fuel bay
3. Actually worse then a battleship in straight up fights (I know you shouldn't do that with a Black ops).
4. The price tag is currently closer to 800m isk and that makes a pirate battleship a better choice in my opinion.
5. Local chat gives away every single black ops gang. If you want to get a kill you need to have a Recon ship that keeps the point. This means that most people will just get the fuck out the moment a Black Ops gang cynos in.
6. Only retarded ships can use the Black ops jump
7. Got some retarded bonus to speed with cloak
8. T2 ship -> 2 rig slots
9. Enjoy your training time for a really limited ship. I guess this isn't such a big point since you will probably be close to capitals at this time and they also need jump skills.
10. Did I mention that they currently cost ~800m
Here is what's good with Black Ops
1. Cool
2. Nice for 0.0 where you can sneak a stealth bomber gang in and bomb the shit out of stuff.
3. Probably a lot more fun to use then the normal "hold 1 jump let's bait them" tactic.

Point 6 isnt entirely true.
It's a black ops ship, and as such the use of it is to GANK single-few targets, not a proper fight.
It can bridge recons stealthbomber and t3s with recon subsystem. However, equipping the recon subsystem massively gimps your dps, so you're not able to fight a proper fight.
It's perfect for a quick cyno up, gank, cloak gtfo (black)op, and thats it.
The other discussion is, wether such a (black)op is actually any use, because of the limited jumprange, its basically hold 1j short anyway, just with cloaky ships(visible in local anyway).

All of the above and titans actually do stuff besides being 50bil moving jumpbridges. Stuff like giving bonuses to your fleet and 1 shotting enemy battleships with guns and nuking stuff every once in a while.

Titans do this nifty thing like posses vat bays, hangers, and can jump ANY SHIP, not just shitty covert ops ones. They also have a huge presence in fleet fights. Also you can apparently rat in one at 300m/hr/
Black Ops are in every way weaker than BS, are way too expensive for their use, and have really retarded bonuses. They are poorly made ships that need a huge revamp.
Before you bring up costs....I can buy about 200 of the things at 800mil so cost isn't really an issue for me. The ships suck ass.

How hard would it be for a person that would start the game say today to get a PLEX in his 21 day trial? Even possible?

Depends on which hours you play. We still have a few missionrunners but nothing consistent. Probably doable though, especially if the mentor helps out.

Rattlesnakes are under 500m and the hatchery has a good number of accounts capable of flying t2 battleships.

Would it be absolutely necessary to first make a 14 day trial to ask in the channel for a 21 day trial and a mentor, or could I do it over Teamspeak or in this topic?
Seems a bit annoying to have to make another e-mail to first make the 14 day trial and such...

You can use the same email. The 14 just guarantees that you get someone who is there at the time.
